That is so amazing! My husband died at age 39. He was an organ donor. The New England Organ Bank was able to transplant his kidneys, corneas and use skin grafts for burn victims. I’m also an organ donor and work in the Transplant Dept at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Massachusetts. It’s like seeing miracles happen every day. God is good. All the time. ❤️

Thank you for sharing this. My niece died at 19 and her organs were donated. We received a letter from the wife of the man who got her heart(no names were allowed). She thanked my sister and brother in law for giving her her husband back. He was 41 and the father of 2 young boys. There is no greater gift than the gift of life. May God continue to look after your daughter and keep her healthy.

As someone who’s daughter is on the side of receiving the gift of organ transplant I want to tell you how much your niece’s selfless gift was. Being thankful is never enough for the gift. We are so very appreciative and grateful.

Thank you Aunt Vickie for sharing this beautiful journey of Kaitlyn finally being able to breathe, live and truly thrive. Thank God for His Mercy and Love!!! May she continue to stay healthy and happy. You are a hero too!!! Never apologize for your tears and loving Mama heart!! My best friend Amy had a kidney transplant 7 years ago after enduring 3.5 years of dialysis 3 times a week and still working full time. It was a rough road to be on with her and we cried a river of tears at times. Happily, she is married to a wonderful man that takes good care of her. I too am so very grateful to God that through his mercy and love I still have my best friend! She's doing great and finally living her dream as a full time artist. My husband and I are organ donors too. Our daughter Erin hasn't quite made up her mind but she's only 16. I hope she will too. Huge hugs and prayers to you and your sweet family!

❤my kids step mom just went through a liver transplant. She got cirrhosis of the liver and had never smoked before no drugs and never drank but she was a bad diabetic so they said diet attributed to it. I know what not being able to breathe is all about after getting blood clots in both of my lungs. I have had to use oxygen for a few years now. I mainly use it for walking if not in the house and at night. They said I need it anytime I get up but I don’t think I need it I am so happy she is doing well. My kids step mom just got out of the hospital after starting to reject the liver transplant but after rxs changes she is home from hospital. Everyone needs to be a organ donor
