10. I know it is a dramatic scene but Cavill has a nice abdomen. Looks like he has a tattoo.
3:50 My jaw dropped in the theater. Everything about the scene was so immersive, for a few moments I truly thought they were too late. The lighting in the next shot of Hunt watching the sunset almost looked like the fallout from the detonation. Incredible film.
The fact that Tom Cruise interjects humour in his reactions to these fights and stunts is what makes it really watchable, and lets you know he's in on the over-the-top entertainment.
All Cavill had to do was kick that device off the ledge instead of trying to kill Cruise in this scene ...
Hmm! Valid point, but if he threw the detonator or kicked it, it would be in pieces, which means the main switch would disconnect and if that disconnects, we know Ethan saved the day.
@@danclan911 Also valid! I guess I just meant that Cavill seems to give zero F's about the detonator in this entire fight scene which feels super odd.
@@thewilliammao All he needed to do was keep Ethan away. What better way to do that than kicking his ass after burning half your face? 🤷🏻😂
I think that maybe walker doesn't know that bomb can be defuse by removing switch, he was assuming that ethan want to stop the countdown which he knows is not a solution that's why he was careless about Device. This is just my thought . I can be wrong.

The wire cutting sequence really exemplifies the outstanding film making we’ve seen in the last two missions. McQ and cruise are executing at such a high level. Like everything else they’ve done they elevate what could be a scene we’ve seen a thousand times before into something truly memorable. The tension, the panic, the score, the bright light oh shit he failed moment, and then the cut to cruise spitting out the device. So well done.
what.are.you.smoking ? I love cinema, I haven't seen a M:I in... IDK...15 years, I've come with an open mind, and I found this scene utter garbage.

Monks repeatedly hit their chins on their legs, builds a callus and the more you are adaptable to taking hits. I feel that the same applies everywhere on the body.
@@ryanthomas6063 That's just bullocks, the sheer shocking force from a 185 tall, 100 kg boxer whould break your chin no matter what callus you train.
Callus is nothing but hardening of the skin against wear. What discombopulates you when struck is the force your skull, jaw and your tendons face against the hit. Your neck suffers from the blow too.

Fun fact: I was watching this movie for the first time on an airplane. Plane had landed, was cutting it close to the end. Right as one second on the timer hits and you see the white light, that's where the entertainment system cut off and we were at the gate. Had no idea how it ended for another week.... LOL
Also, I like how they picked the filming location, like we didn't know they just flew 30 minutes from Asia to Central Norway lol

Henry Cavill got “Hooked” on a feeling 😂
I just noticed something, when Henry Cavill hits the ground before he gets pulled into the fireball, you can actually see a little tiny blood streak on the rocks from where he hit. Nice touch.

The height difference of 6 inches may sound like a lot on paper, but relatively not that much. That said, still crazy considering Cavill is just way more built than Cruise.

The iconic mission impossible theme must absolutely punctuate the final action scene of the film as Brian de Palma had perfectly understood and which was not the case in particular in Fall Out where the end of the film is ultimately quite ordinary without this long-awaited music!
Imagine he survives with loads of brain damage and limited physical functionality but he vaguely remembers he has a vendetta with Ethan Hunt for some reason. I'd love to see an entire mission impossible film with just the severely crippled and mentally impaired enemies, it would also help unknown disabled actors to do stunts and stuff, inclusivity or something, yeah 😎
