my friend chuckinsteel here on youtube did a video on his portable catchbox out of a weaver throw line cube • Showing My Portable Ca... and as soon as I saw that video I ordered one and built my own. its a great catchbox that folds down to a compact size for taking to the lake or a friends house and lets you shoot different angles while you practice. you could also use this for lighter powered bb buns, mulitpump air rifles, or air soft. caltoncutlery.com

Awesome idea on how to hang the backstop, brother! Had the same catchbox for almost a year from watching Chuckin's, Tim H, and Darryl's videos. I usually bring it to church so I can shoot after service while the wife socializes. lol.

Wow Joe ! I didn’t know you like Slings and that you make them I need to by one I have 3 of them I have been shooting for 7 months I am newcomer to the sport Yep 👍 I have a catch box made of cardboard I will get one that is better I saw your website with some slings I will order one within the next month thanks for the video I am impressed!

why wouldnt you just buy a catchbox for 20 bucks and it uses the exact same box except better??? no need to add any cardboard or coat hangers...

the catchboxes that I have seen are about half the size of this one. and sometimes i need as big a target as I can get.

Because what you're describing doesn't exist. At least, not that I'm aware of after hours of searching. The options available use cheap materials, and the construction of this box, due to its purpose, is much stronger than others. But the real kicker, for me at least, is how portable this setup is. Other options only fold down onto themselves, leaving you with a footprint as large as the box itself. This Weaver catch box solves a lot of problems for us fanatics! Thanks for the video, Joe.
