Been using 18birdies for over 6 months now. My only issue is that it does not work with my Oppo Smartwatch. That's all. Everything else is fantastic. The practice round history is soooooo useful. Weather is massive, helps plan my shots with wind before I can get there. Shot planner is MASSIVE UNDERRATED. That by itself drop my help drop my handicapp from 10.2 to 7.5. I can wait for more updates. As of writing this comment they have make the UI so much cleaner and smoother. The plans are cheap. Honestly I spend more on beer a month than a yearly plan. If you guys haven't tried it please do. I can not recommend it enough
I haven’t measured the exact usage but I have never been left with a dead battery after using it. I usually golf in the morning and my phone is still good by the time I go to bed. I will tract it next time I go out and follow up.
I made it out golfing today; 18 holes over 3.5 hours, the battery drain was 24% on my IPhone 11 Pro Max. I did not use the shot tracker, but used GPS, scoring and stats.
Yes, The app on the watch is great! I bought the Apple Watch a couple months ago when the new one came out and I have pretty much used it exclusively at this point. Just leave the phone in the bag!
I have never had a battery issue. I use it on the course and then wear it for the rest of the day. I will measure it next round, but it has never died on me.
Hey, I have some results for you on battery consumption using the App. 18 holes over 3.5 hours, the battery drain was 24% on my IPhone 11 Pro Max. I did not use the shot tracker, but used GPS, scoring and stats. I then went out and kept my phone in the bag and only used the App on the watch. I started at 62%, after 3 hours 15 minutes, 18 holes. The watch battery was at 44%. I used it for distances and scoring. So it used 18% of the battery over the round??? I think that is pretty great! I hope that answers your question about the battery life. It also might depend on the device, if you are using other apps during your round or the age of your device; it will be different? Either way, hope you have a great New Year!
@@SeekingBirdiesGolf that’s so much better than the arccos app, I wonder can be so different? There is a Vibrate haptic on the watch when it notices a shot, maybe I turn that off and see the difference that makes
