But, Mew Mew Power was airing some episodes on Pop once, when PopGirl wasn't showing it for a while, and, strangely ''The Main Mews Muse'' was one of these episodes 0_o. I didn't understand it myself, but I watched it and recorded it, but unfortuantely my mum deleated it without asking me XD But, yeah, I understand if you don't believe me but it's true. I was really shocked when I watched it xx

I'm curious to how 4kids would have done season 2. *I mean, I like TMM, but you have to agree it has some messed-up stuff.* The episode where Zoey turns into a cat has rape jokes and offensive stereotypes, for crying out loud. Another episode has an adult trying to marry Kiki. Then there's Corina slapping a girl in the face. And don't get me started on Zoey's dad forbidding her from dating because he wants all of his daughter's attention for himself.

Also, Yuebing Long is most likely a teenager, not an adult. You can't really judge the characters ages by their voices. Ryou has one of the deeper voices in the Japanese version of the show and he was only 15 and Zakuro was only 14-15.

She also makes mean comments calling the cat a "weirdo" and a "momma's boy", like that has some correlation with being an offender. That's what I'm referring to as offensive stereotypes. As for the boy trying to marry Bu-ling/Kiki, even if he's a teenager, it's still questionable, and I'm not the first one to point this out. Believe me, I wish TMM got dubbed in full. I'm just speculating as to why it wasn't, considering the strict censorship that plagued anime in the west back then. I'm not personally bothered by these things, I just feel it should be mentioned. Either way, I appreciate you taking the time to respond to one of my comments. I sometimes talk about serious or controversial topics, and not everyone is as polite as you were.

As for your comment, I tend to think an accusation that big would involve actual... well the word that is in that type of assault, which I don't think kissing qualifies. Sure, I don't agree with someone forcing a kiss without permission but I wouldn't really amount it to a crime that extreme, especially when characters like Quiche have done worse. The whole thing with Francois reminded me of the episode of Sailor Moon where Luna had to deal with that one fat cat that wouldn't get out of her personal space. I found the humor to be from the whole ridiculousness of the situation. As for the other one, while it seems outdated by a lot of western standards, there are quite a few places that still have marriages by betrothal. Yuebing Long was at least respectable to Bu-Ling and didn't force anything, even saying that a marriage wouldn't happen until they were of age. Even then, I doubt it would've happened since her and Tart are pretty canon in the end. As for 4Kids, they probably would've kept the cat parts since it doesn't involve people and there's no actual lip contact. For the latter, they upped Kikki's age to 14, so she would've been about a couple of years younger than him at the least. But I wouldn't be surprised if they would've added them not agreeing to it by the end of the episode and giving a moral like "only marry for love". Although, that last scenario won't really matter since it wasn't in the manga, so it will most likely not be in the anime reboot XD.

I was too harsh on the Francois episode, the way I phrase it made it seem a lot more shocking than it actually is. Sometimes, works of fiction can be disturbing when you think of their real-life implications. Maybe I'm just overthinking. Unrelated, but since you brought up Sailor Moon, I find there are some parallels that can be drawn between the two shows. Maybe they're just coincidences, but the more you look, the more they start to pile up. I sometimes wonder if one might have been loosely inspired by the other.

The Serbian DVD comercial is from Happy TV. And DVD is part of "Happy Colection".
I saw the schedule on their website the whole time it was on the air. It never mentioned that episode. And no, it's no longer airing (they took off Pretty Cure too XD).

Sorry, but on the multiple reruns of mew mew power, that episode *did* air, and all episodes were aired in chronological order. I'm sure you know this by now though haha

@HikaYagami it's unfortunate that the pop channels never had tv listings published in physical tv guides as those are mostly archived well. I could try checking archived Pop tv guides from circa 2008-09, but there's no guarantee the correct day would be found. but all I can tell you is the episode definitely aired on UK TV It's sad that a lot of cool stuff about the POP channels are just not documented at all, despite the best efforts of some of us

Wow, those 4kids commercials sure brought back some memories! As much as they screwed up the show, their dub is what first got me into anime (or what I first realized as anime I guess and not just a cartoon).
Izuru it was actually hard to find it. it took me a few weeks to months to just find it at a reasonable price. the GBA game is a lot harder and expensive.
No there weren't. 4Kids never had the rights to any of the episodes in the 2nd half of the series. Heck, they only aired the first 23 episodes in the US. And I followed the Popgirl schedule on their site, there was no episodes past 26 there either. And any episodes you see on youtube are fandubbed.
I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to the MMP theme song without imagining you and Ricky singing along, you saying that despite your niece singing all the time, you keep forgetting the lyrics, and you saying that "collaborate" is a big word XD XD XD
All I can think of with that first 4kids commercial is "American Kirby is Hardcore". Seriously, they took "Tokyo Mew Mew" of all things, a show literally built with the sole purpose of being *cute*, and tried to make it look edgy and hard-boiled. It's so ridiculous, I can hardly even get mad at it. Although I will say, the Mew Mews may look all sweet and cuddly, but they can be cruel and cold-blooded when you're least expecting it. We have at least three instances of them attacking each other, and even one time where Corina slapped a civilian girl in the face (which was admittedly kinda funny).
Oh god the MMP commercial. I really don't mean to hate, but GOD I can't stand it. The Lettustanets were originally going to be dubbed Morse Code Castanets? o.o Also, Zakuro's weapon is not a dagger -or a spear-!

I get the feeling that the reason why 4Kids rigged the voting poll was because they actually didn't have an episode finished yet and thought that no one would vote for a girl show (Mew Mew was WAY ahead in the poll but they made the show that had the lowest votes win at the last second). That would explain why they didn't actually air the show until about 6 months after that promo aired.
The problem though is that there's evidence on both sides. The only way to prove what's true is to find someone who has a recording of that episode from that channel. Or find Popgirl's schedule for those days that has that episode mentioned.

I think this is pretty cool imo :) Also, after knowing that the main characters of this series have the DNA of the Animals like a Wolf and a Cat? it kinda someday inspires me to make my own story for the Mew Mew universe, and it would be about 3 brothers who have the same DNA abilities as the three mammal and 1 sea-type Dinosaurs such as the Smilodon, the Mosasaurus, and the Archaeopteryx as their buddy from school would also have the DNA ability of the Triceratops too. Plus, their group name like the Mew Mews would be called the "Dino Dinos" lol. Haha, what can I say? I just love making crazy ideas 😆

But on the website, the Popgirl schedule always says that there is no programing for their block from 4:00 AM - 6:00 AM. And no, they didn't say it was episode 26. They saw that episode and said that they never saw it at all, only the 25 main ones. Besides, it wouldn't make since to show 25 of them on normal times but put that 1 particular episode at a bad time slot.
The problem though is that you're the only one claiming this. And how do you know? You might just be confusing it with being episode 26 since if the show started reruns right after the last episode, it could be mistaken as such. Without visual proof, it's hard to confirm it.

The UK didn't dub anything. They only aired 25 episodes of the 4Kids dub (they never aired the pilot episode that was originally episode 12).

What's up with the 4kids audio? It sounds like everyone is lisping.
There are no known TV recordings of that preview so the audio was taken from the video off their old website, which was a low quality shockwave file.

That's weird. Most countries showed that (even dubbing that preview) to keep the kids from getting confused. Not that it worked though XD.
Did you notice that in the mew mew sneak peak, they rip music directly from the first(I believe it is) Pokemon movie? It's during the part where Ryo describes Ichigo's abilities. Really, 4Kids? XD

Well 4Kids is defunct, so it'll be a bit TOO easy for Viz to acquire the rights to it.
Kodansha already re-did the manga, and now were getting a reboot. Maybe with the new reboot, we could get a new dub.

Mew Ringo is only from the PS3 game and its the only thing she shows up in.
Oh yes I'm well aware that 4kids poorly photoshop the gold parts off making it look like a stick. In ep 21 they had to re edit some of Renee's face after de-crossing it and she looks like she has a hole for a nose-_- Yeah 4kids can't edit for crap!
