How the hell does the channel have only 17 subs? You deserve so much more!

As a little kid I got an older friend's hand me down. I was like 4 years old and he was a teen. it was my first video game console and after watching this video im pretty sure it was a TV Fun--all I remember was the brown wood but i know it wasnt a telstar cause the telstar was just too big and the compu-vision console didn't look familiar at all. Anyway it was good for what it was and I have good memories of it. A few years later my parents got me an Atari 2600 and that was the end, because the Atari could play way more games than just pong. The Atari was with me for several years until the NES. Thanks so much for this trip down memory lane. It's hard for today's kids to understand what was so special about playing pong, but you gotta understand that at the time there was nothing like it. It was the dawn of video games. Pac-Man would soon take the world by storm and pinball was still widely distributed in your local pizza places and grocery stores.

this was recommended to me and i watched it assuming it was made by some tech or gaming creator with thousands of subs, and when I finished the video and went to hit the like button, I was surprised to see how small of a creator was making such high quality content. I mean it, this rivals the videos made by other popular TH-camrs in this space and I hope you keep it up! I loved the presentation, script writing, and delivery. Definitely looking forward to what you make next!

Echoing a few others, this is really well produced and I'd love to see more stuff like this! You've got a criminally underrated channel here, but keep at it!

The Pong bug hit me some years ago. I now have almost 60 different units, mostly CIB. I'm still looking for the elusive Coleco Telstar Galaxy which I'm sure I will never acquire. Most of your systems can be brought back to life with some cleaning and adjustments. The saddest thing is when people put them into storage 40 years ago with the batteries still in them. A collectors nightmare.

Nice collection. I had one somewhat similar to the last console. It also included a clone of Atari's Stunt Cycle. Only later I realized what a luxury it was to have analog sticks.

I wonder who manufactured the logic board for the majority of these console. I want to know if you tore these down if they actually had all the options as solder points and if these companies actually saved the ten minutes to do the work or they this had different wholesale boards. I've always been into plug and plays(first fav being the spongbob PaP.) Definatly interested in a teardown comparison if you plan on getting more content out of these devices.
Keep it up with the concise videos! hard to find anything not filled with fluff.

My parents earned the Bentley for enduring a timeshare pitch in like 85.

Imagine if consoles had built-in controller docks today.

Dunno if someone said it, but you can clean the paddles and get rid of the jitter.

I hope you can fix them properly, these old things are usually quite simple, the video output problems are probably bad capacitors and/or cracked solder joints on the video output connectors. Those switches and old pots may improve with a bit of IPA sprayed inside to soften them a bit.
If they use standard DC barrels for power you may find some generic power brick with similar voltage outputs for them. Old electronics typically had labels with expected DC input on the underside, but if not, you may be able to figure it out from the batteries they used.
