I LOVE the DHC-6 that and the BN2 islander are some of the best short field aircraft ever built. I even saw a Daher Kodiak, another amazing short field beast.

One wrong move, all of them into the sea at the far end of the runway! My goodness, what an airport, and the pilots and their machines. all put to their extremes. Of course its a plane spotters paradise!

the landing from the bay side is not as difficult, as you get to set up a nice glide to the end of the runway, and have an uphill roll-out, gravity assist. The other way, over the cliffs, between the hills , is as touchy a landing as i have ever seen in over 50 years of being an ifr pilot. This defines short field landing, and the reversers on what i think is an otter are impressive in their speedy effectiveness. I would like to see this from the co-pilot side just to get the feeling of the difficulty that must be overcome each landing that way.

It’s a French island, officially Saint-Barthélemy, and in French is usually abbreviated to St-Barth.
In English usage it’s St Barts or occasionally St Barths. No apostrophe needed!

Disappointing to see the "after landing" checklist called before the landing roll was complete on the first RW 28 landing. Poor procedures IMHO. They should really wait until the runway is vacated. Otherwise a great video

Not impressed with any of these landings or take offs. Touching down at the middle of the runway and far off of the center line. Lifting off feet before the end of the runway. Covering my eyes omg. Ok the turboprop did a good landing.
