Hiking Snow Lake - Celebrating the First Snow!

The drought broke in Washington at the end of October, cleaning the air and bringing the first snow to the mountains. I decided to visit a classic to celebrate the start of shoulder season in the mountains. Snow lake at Snoqualmie pass is a popular hike for a reason.
Be warned, this route is dangerous when there is significant snow on the trail. Dead;y avalanches have occurred frequently in the winter and spring months. Know the conditions before you head out.

we also received our first snow last night in NorCal, unfortunately we cannot say the drought is over just the start of winter. but it is great to see snow on the crystal range outside Tahoe. Cheers to winter!
