All Mini guys black gloss wrap their chrome. I'm doing it as soon as I can, and everyone in my local Mini club has done it if they didn't get the black trim anyway.
Loving the Mini Cooper S first episode of returning it to standard, I daily drive a custom 2008 JCW edition which I will add is the most fun car I’ve driven and owned, yeah they do have their little niggles and problems but one hell of a fun car! Smiles per mile tops the charts! Keep this channel going with daily drivers flipping for a small profit, that’s what us every day Joes want to see! It’s in our grasp! 👍🏼😊
From a used car dealer who frequently sells minis all the aesthetic stuff should have stayed. Exhaust and lights needed addressing but all the blacked trim wouldn’t have hurt if anything it would have helped.
I think the black wrap over chrome was well done and could have stayed on, but I understand you're trying to go 100% stock. Great new channel can't wait to see how it grows. You should do a Jeep or lifted truck next, that would be fun
Something I noticed you may want to point out. When replacing bulbs you really should not touch the bulb itself with your bare hands. The oil from your hands can cause the bulb to over heat and fail.
Not much of an issue with normal bulbs in tail and side lights - however, if Halogen (like incorrectly stated in the vid) then yes, you should avoid touching the special glass as the acid in the fingerprint can weaken the glass over time. No harm however to clean any grime off the bulbs even if you're not changing it.
I disconnect my batteries on my small fleet of Hoopties to keep the charge in them. So a 10mm for the terminals is always needed. I have recently found that the Hotwheels Tooligan car can easily be modified into a 10mm with a bit of filing. A cheap keyring ring in the front wheel arch and you have a spanner keyring for each set of keys

DrScopeify In all actuality, I would (and have) purchased used cars before that already had some mods done...tasteful mods if you will. Things like coilovers, up-sized rims/tires (got my own set of wheels afterwards though), exhaust, intake...the basics really, which left me budget room to purchase other mods that I otherwise wouldn’t have most likely been able to afford. Now, I’m not going to buy a car that has had cheap mods, been heavily modded, has had tinkering done to the ecu, or is already a track car basically...but a few basic quality mods isn’t something I’m going to scoff at. In addition to that, many people don’t have a problem with purchasing classic cars, trucks, or Jeeps that have already seen some work done to them...even those that purchase JDM imports here in the US will happily import a car that has seen some work go into them. ...however, many in the car enthusiast community are not like that, and most of general society has a negative opinion when it comes to the concept of *car* modifications...mostly due to ignorance, image, or cultural acceptance. My Dad always said no matter how much money you spend modifying your car. It will never add value to a car compared to stock. In fact most used car buyers prefers to buy stock unmodified factory spec cars. You’ll have to find a special type of buyer to like your custom wheels, lowered stance and aftermarket exhaust. Since people have varying difference in taste.
Only partially true if I'm selling my supercharged brz for 25grand and someone hits me up for 18k and I tell them no and they piss and moan about other stock ones for way cheaper theres a reason why your coming after my car and not the stock one, you want the after market goodies on it usually costing 5-15grand of extras and your trying to get them for free, cant wrap up the whole Car market into one big category
Jordan Zapfe That’s why I said you need a special type of buyer for your custom modified BRZ that would meet your valuation. Your car will have to sit for a while unsold, until you find that right buyer, who like exactly what you did with the car. Which frankly is quite rare. People who modify their own cars tend to customize it based on their own taste. If they find something custom they don’t like. It means they’ll have to spend money to replace it. So it doesn’t make sense for them to pay extra for that aftermarket part, they’ll just remove anyway.
Mini and BMW canbus system can be programmed in the ecu coding to stop the warning lights and errors. LEDs are a real good thing to have lol. Make a huge change.
Yes! If I wanted to buy this and found that they removed LEDs and reinstalled stock ones, I’d call them morons and offer less because now I have to buy new LEDs.
I think it’s perfect the way it is. I love modified minis. you can’t get the same go cart experience from a Cooper S unless you import a cappuccino or buy a 500. neither of those cars have the styling or the tuning capabilities of a mini S. Hey Tavarish, not sure if you knew but on many modern cars you can change the type of bulb that is detected in the cars computer. On my '13 Ford it's pretty easy to do with a program called Focccus, and I can manually select whether I am using a halogen bulb or LED. Might be a better option for some out there and will allow the use of LED bulbs with a functioning bulb out indicator.
Thank you for a great video guys. Freddie as much as I love your usual exotic rebuild this channel reflects more my price range 😔 and something I can relate too. As usual I will be looking forward to all your videos.

As a Mini Cooper owner this made me a little sad, but I've had to replace all the parts you showed because the aftermarket parts I got weren't that good.
I liked the modified look of Andrews Mini Cooper S. It looked way better than stock! And why not install canbus compatible LED bulbs. The aftermarket headlamps also were great! I can understand that the exhaust may needs to be replaced. Actually, the problem with that car is it’s a girls car to begin with. And stock with installed eye lashes will probably flip the car even though it is ever so ugly that way.
Great job guys, I've been following Tavarish for a while now and I've really enjoyed his videos. This is really good stuff! Andrew is a natural & I can't wait to see what happens next with the Cooper!

That’s just great. Absolutely enjoyable. Andrew seem to be a great guy and I totally love the humor bits. Well done folks! Also Tovarish seem to be enjoying the hell of Peter McKinnon videos or some other youtubers who lean hard on b-roll explanation and use. Keep it up

Love the new channel, great content. I hope Andrew is staying as he is great and top banter between you. If you want constructive feedback you could really use some diffusers for your lighting or reduce the intensity as its quite harsh in a few shots. Keep up the good work :)
Very very impressed with this episode, very polished look and fantastic production. Andrew is great on camera, and the humour throughout is perfect. Been waiting a long time for this and it surpassed all expectations. I cant wait for the next episodes. This is going to be a big hit guys!
Yeah, Andrew's humour is on point. Nothing outrageous or try hard, he's just a funny dude and doesn't take himself too seriously. Looking forward to more of these two working together.
Great work, look forward to the next one. Reminds of another car flipping show before it went all Hollywood and forgot it was supposed to be about repairing cars.
I think I might start a Go Fund Me page to get Andrew an emergency melanin transfusion....hows does this guy not spontaneously combust in the Florida sun?
If you’re planning on selling these cars after you fixed/modded them, will you be getting your dealer license ? I think state of Florida requires a dealer license if you’ll be selling more than 3 cars in a 12 month period.
since you didn't buy a flip car, you guys should make this more realistic for the low budget guys and only use the mini money for the next project.?. maybe sell the parts you guys removed to help?

Been waiting on this series 🤙🤙🤙when are you getting better lighting for the shop ?
Soon!
Nice Video. You guys know how to do it. Mabye you shoud get something like the newish "Wheeler Dealers".
(I never seen a Frog in a Grill before😂👍)
Andrew is hilarious and his Australian accent impersonation is pretty spot on. At least it sounded like he was going down that route.
Love the new channel, great content. I hope Andrew is staying as he is great and top banter between you. If you want constructive feedback you could really use some diffusers for your lighting or reduce the intensity as its quite harsh in a few shots. Keep up the good work :)
Best of Luck with new channel Tav !! well wishess !!!
Very very impressed with this episode, very polished look and fantastic production. Andrew is great on camera, and the humour throughout is perfect. Been waiting a long time for this and it surpassed all expectations. I cant wait for the next episodes. This is going to be a big hit guys!
all he did was clean dead frogs how was this impressive?
he like opened the hood to fix light bulbs /facepalm
@@potatochobit yes while the content in the video wasn't crazy, it was well executed and edited, making it an enjoyable watch
Yeah, Andrew's humour is on point. Nothing outrageous or try hard, he's just a funny dude and doesn't take himself too seriously. Looking forward to more of these two working together.
So hang on, you guys are taking an awesome unique car and changing it to something everybody wants... I wonder how this project will turn out :p
I was going to buy it before you de-modded it, dammit Tavarish
Great work, look forward to the next one. Reminds of another car flipping show before it went all Hollywood and forgot it was supposed to be about repairing cars.
I’m actually contemplating buying one, they’re so under appreciated and they make fantastic power!
How did you get the exhaust to crackle like that?
Edd China would be proud! Loved seeing you work on a normal car!
Adriano's Classic Garage Edd China still working on the MK1 GTI in Scandinavia...🧐
Where are you guys registered? Wedding date?
I think I might start a Go Fund Me page to get Andrew an emergency melanin transfusion....hows does this guy not spontaneously combust in the Florida sun?
I just stay in the shop. In the corner. With my 10mm socket. It's mine. My own. My precious.
@@TheQuestionableGarage You have a 10mm? That's easy to find? My hero!
For your next car you should get an old early 90s GM or Volvo and clean it up and repair stuff
Nice debut. But a suggestion: drop the slowmo beauty shot silliness and use the time with actual work. Makes the video flow better.
Super excited about this channel!
Wheeler Dealers, Tavarish style! I dig it.
Ok, so, you guys have something awesome here! I love it, so many good laughs. Keep up the great work guys!!
That frog 😂
If you’re planning on selling these cars after you fixed/modded them, will you be getting your dealer license ? I think state of Florida requires a dealer license if you’ll be selling more than 3 cars in a 12 month period.
Great episode - and love seeing the Teng Tools!
Are you selling the aftermarket headlights?? id loveeeeee them for my mini r56
Finally! This is going to be great😁
This is fantastic. You two have a great dynamic.
Andrew, why are you selling the mini? I have one and I absolutely love it.
Last comments. I love the new channel. Awesome! But.... I liked it the way it was before. Hahahaha.
Keep up the good work.
Great idea for a new show! I've been looking at Mini's for quite a while and this one looks like it will be pretty nice once your done!
Please restore the black plastic trim!
This is gold. You guys are hilarious together 👏🏽
Your icon photo looks oddly similar to Obsessed Garage
Watching two guys change light bulbs for 15 minute, was expecting more of you guys! Know you can do better, looking forward to more episodes!
since you didn't buy a flip car, you guys should make this more realistic for the low budget guys and only use the mini money for the next project.?. maybe sell the parts you guys removed to help?
Usually I don't comment at all, but guy's this is amazing! I love it! 😃
That production value tho ! 🤠
