I’ve never been a big fan of mini coopers, until I drove my Dads John Cooper works mini s, the most fun I’ve had driving PERIOD. A big fan now for sure. Such a thrilling driving experience
Buy one, you wont regret it. I used to have a 2012 mini hyde park, special edition after the olympics. Had to sell it but now Im looking forward to get a new one. Greetings from Mexico
Buy a stick shift. They are way sexier! It feels like your in and driving an exotic sports car. Wish they'd let people post pictures so I could post a pic of our 2016 black and champaigne colored Mini Cooper Clubman with 18 inch gloss black spoked rims. Black leather interior with panoramic roof and Sun roof. Fast, fun, sporty and sexy lol.
I love both the classic and modern MINI. I own a 2015 MINI base...bought it used. I was fascinated by the MINIs of the 60's/70's when I watched them perform in autocross events in shopping center parking lots on Sundays when (at that time) the stores were prohibited from being open Sundays. They were top performers due to their 'go-kart' type handling. I was young and had no money back then, but wish I had one.
I think the Mini R50 is the best compromise between old and new. It's beautifully built; has that true Go Kart handling and although larger and more practical than the original, is still compact enough to warrant the Mini name. The more recent versions seem bloated and look far too bulbous by comparison.
as a mini owner, i agree i just wish the modern ones would stay just as distinct as the old ones, bmw starting to make too much like everything else on the market.
I have a classic and a modern. The modern is my choice for longer journeys, but when i feel like REALLY driving, the classic is by far the best. Not even close.
Yes GARY, love driving my mini cooper makes driving a pleasure, always wanted one, got wone, just love this car , very nippy FULL of toys, come on petrolheads , give this car a go ,ad it to your bucket list 👍
Hi Gary, same here, I have never been happier in a car. Whether going driving around the city for daily trips or out on the highway, though the cheek hurting grin comes when you get to let it loose on a old school narrow windy road. Always worth the effort to find one. :)
This is the best “things you didn’t know” video I’ve ever seen. There were 15 said in the intro I didn’t know before they even started the countdown. Very well done! Thanks for the info 🇬🇧🤙🏾
We love our Mini. We’ve put 80,000 on our 2015 already. MTTS, MOTM, MOTD which are huge events and countless other runs to anywhere and everywhere. Ours is Detailed, named and has a vanity plate. In a few days we head to The Mackinaw Bridge in an attempt to break the World record for the most Minis at an event. I want to add a Classic to our fleet just because they are so cool. We like Owners are called Minacs and are proud to get out and display our babies! Did I mention we had over 400 on the track at Watkins Glen a few weeks ago?
Glad to see you put this up! Always wanted a Morris Mini Cooper, but never had one, though I did have 2 Morris Minors. ..a '58 1000,and a' 68 (still called a 1000, but with a slightly larger engine by then. (Actually 1100cc)! Both great cars!
I had a Mini 850 in the 80s I wish I still had it, but there was a lot wrong with Minis, they filled with water when it rained, they were easy to steal, because the locks were no good, but they were fun to drive and you could fix them yourself, if it broke down.. I had three minis in my youth, and quite recently I met a man who worked on the first Mini, he had loads of stories to tell about working on that car in Birmingham UK, he was a fascinating bloke indeed. Now I don't own a car at all, public transport me. But I do think of the good times I had owning my Minis.
I love Mini so much...😍😍..but...unfortunately my budget also is mini 😂😂😂😂😂...to all can afford to buy mini....congrat's to all of you guyzzzz!!!enjoy watching more videos of minis.
They're both great! I wish I could own a classic but for certain logistic reasons I can't. However I have a 2016 MINI Cooper S and it's fantastic. It's faster than you realize and corners almost as good as a Porsche. The handling is wonderful and the cars are extremely nimble.
I drove a Mini when in England in '87( the car was old then but I don't remember the year), it was small but fit me surprisingly good and I'm 6'...but too small for me and I felt unsafe. But I picked up a 2017 demo lease from another party 2 months ago, a Cooper S 2-Dr, Stick, hard top in moonwalk gray with full carbon fiber accents, & chili package and I F'in love this car. Its quick, handles great and its bigger than you think, air intake and a Borla exhaust was added. I think like Porsche, and Corvettes, the Mini has kept a distinctive look for a long time.
I finally got my first Mini. A used 2015 Countryman S 6 speed manual transmission and I LOVE IT! Actually, my husband bought for me. After the movie The Italian Job I just had to get one. I love the white leather seats and the checkered roof top - makes it so unique I wonder if it’s a John Cooper Works. It’s just so fun to drive on S mode.
It's nice to see you paid attention to te heritage of the mini. Did you know that there were way more models built off the classic mini. For example a mini riley, a police mini, a mini moke (beach buggy), mini cabrio, a mini countryman, (wood panels) and a mini Clubman. (Different nose) And I prefer the classic mini. But it's nice to see the evolution of the mini
Modern Mini cars, especially the Cooper S models are the best vehicles to have the most fun driving for the money. It is the only affordable British sports car. I love my 6 speed Cooper Clubman S that I am ready to buy a Cooper S convertible.
Kevin Spacey did not buy the last classic Mini the last classic Mini is held at the British Motor Museum he bought the last of many to leave the Longbridge production line
We absolutely love our 2016 Mini Cooper Clubman in black and champaigne. Fantastic and unexpected gas mileage for a car with such amazing response and speed. Our choice (only because this is our first mini cooper) is modern because of the economic, mid and sport modes the sleek interior styling. We live in Northern new england amd amazingly, this little car is a tank in the snow with a good set of winter tires.
You never mentioned my favorite Classic Mini of all --- the Countryman -- or Traveler (produced by Austin & Morris respectively). A wagon with (or without) Wood trim on the sides and back -- making them "Woodies". I own a 1964 example and have owned it for the last 25 years.
I can’t drive anything else! Mini hugs the road and my 2016 Mini Cooper has great pick up and cruises best at 80 mph. My husband is 6’1 and is very comfortable in the Mini, which is all I’ve owned for the past 14 years. I just bought a yellow 2003 Mini with a checkered roof to replace my 2004 yellow Mini with white trim that I sold to a friend. I get attached to these cars ~ they make me so happy!!! 😍
I ordered my Mini Cooper S Chili red convertible with the Iconic package on July 9. I prefer the newest model because of its being all BMW under the Bonete and Rolls Royce technology. great video
I love the new Minis, and I own one (2012 Cooper S All4), but I’d love to restore a classic mini. I’ll hold my judgement on which one I love more until then.
Hi, Love Mini's, owned both original Mini and currently own an R56 Mini Cooper S, both great cars in their own way. Your fact number four, the first electric Mini's made for the Italian Job remake movie. There is an electric Mini built in 1965, on display in the the Abbey Pumping Station museum, Leicester, UK. So that might actually be the first electric Mini. It's not a production car, more a prototype, but it is a working electric Mini.
The classic original Mini is fun for a Sunday Fun day car. But for a daily driver and long trip the newer Gen 2 Mini is the best option in the USA. So buy both! 😂
I think some of the modern MINIs are still fulfiling their function of being affordable and fuel efficient, at least the smaller Cooper hatch and Coupe/Roadster versions, not those compact SUV monstrosities they have now like the countryman etc. For example, the R56 MINI Cooper base model (2013 onwards) has one of the best mileage ratings of any economy subcompact hatchback or sedan in the world with its BMW B38 1.5 L 3 cylinder single scroll turbo engine (similar engine design to the iconic BMW i8 sports car ). A well maintained and carefully driven Cooper within its first 50000 miles will do 50 to 65 mpg on highway at ~65 mph (1 to 5 degrees of inclination and only 2 to 3 normal weight passagers inside the car) and up to 45 mpg combined (that's what my 2015 base cooper does) so I'd say if u can get one cheap (used within 10 to 25000 miles) and take good care of it, it's a hell of a car! I wish BMW would stop americanising the MINI and stop making it so big and heavy and would just return more to the classic design, of course, while maintaining good aerodynamics like they have very well done with the modern MINIs
First Mini I ever drove was my Aunt’s in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire Scotland i was about 19 years old, I think it was a 69 or 70 model year and drove it through the highlands of Scotland. Always wanted one and in 2009 I purchased a 2007 Mini Cooper and love driving it during the summer and store it in the winter

Yeah it’s also fast since he was the jcw version of it’s the complete jcw package but even if it’s an s still fast which I love
I do not like small cars, but there is something very sexy about Mini. I love it and thinking of buying one.
Buy one, you wont regret it. I used to have a 2012 mini hyde park, special edition after the olympics. Had to sell it but now Im looking forward to get a new one. Greetings from Mexico

I'm the same! I own a new mini, but would definitely drive an estate or SUV if they weren't around.
Stick around another year or two, and you won't have to worry about MINIs being small; every new model is "the biggest MINI ever!"
I have a Mini Cooper countyman and It sucks
The Italian job was the reason why I fell in love with mini 😍😍
I don't come here to get inspired. But rather to know random things
As a proud and new mini owner, I love finding out random facts
MINIs are beautiful!
Unfortunately, they are CRAP. Engine and transmission issues all over the place!!!
I love both the classic and modern MINI. I own a 2015 MINI base...bought it used. I was fascinated by the MINIs of the 60's/70's when I watched them perform in autocross events in shopping center parking lots on Sundays when (at that time) the stores were prohibited from being open Sundays. I have a 2009 Mini R56 John Cooper Works and I LOVE it! Saving for my next Mini, an F56 JCW!
I think the Mini R50 is the best compromise between old and new. It's beautifully built; has that true Go Kart handling and although larger and more practical than the original, is still compact enough to warrant the Mini name. The more recent versions seem bloated and look far too bulbous by comparison.
This whole future billionaires thing they do at the beginning of the videos is rediculous.
I hear you I don't like any of those people. But I love Mini Coopers. My 06 JCW saved my life in a crash very safe cars.
That mini pick up truck is soooo cute!!! 😭 I had never seen one before.
I like both Classic and Mordern, but the Mordern MINI is my choice.
as a mini owner, i agree i just wish the modern ones would stay just as distinct as the old ones, bmw starting to make too much like everything else on the market.
G.T Letsoko I think same
I have 2010 mini Cooper s turbo..I wish have a old school mini
Jonathan Cambel well you can buy 1 as a collector's item.
I have a classic and a modern. The modern is my choice for longer journeys, but when i feel like REALLY driving, the classic is by far the best. Not even close.
Between my wife and I, we've had 4 MINIs. 2009 Clubman, 2010 Hardtop, and currently have a 2012 and a 2016 Countryman S ALL4.
Love em ALL!!
Modern mini. I own the 2015 Mini Cooper S. This is the best and most fun car I have ever owned... I smile every time i am in it :))
Yes GARY, love driving my mini cooper makes driving a pleasure, always wanted one, got wone, just love this car , very nippy FULL of toys, come on petrolheads , give this car a go ,ad it to your bucket list 👍
Gary Tugan does it break down a lot ?
Hi Gary, same here, I have never been happier in a car. Whether going driving around the city for daily trips or out on the highway, though the cheek hurting grin comes when you get to let it loose on a old school narrow windy road. Always worth the effort to find one. :)
every Mini is adorable
Definitely love both modern & classic Mini . Mini is fun to drive. 👌👍

At last...thanks alux. one of my favourites especially the Mr bean version...mach one.
Minis of today are fantastic, classy and perfect.
We love our Mini. We’ve put 80,000 on our 2015 already. MTTS, MOTM, MOTD which are huge events and countless other runs to anywhere and everywhere. Ours is Detailed, named and has a vanity plate. Glad to see you put this up! Always wanted a Morris Mini Cooper, but never had one, though I did have 2 Morris Minors. ..a '58 1000,and a' 68 (still called a 1000, but with a slightly larger engine by then. (Actually 1100cc)! Both great cars!

In what world is $30k reasonably priced?
They're both great! I wish I could own a classic but for certain logistic reasons I can't. However I have a 2016 MINI Cooper S and it's fantastic. It's faster than you realize and corners almost as good as a Porsche. The handling is wonderful and the cars are extremely nimble.

Both of them... I keep buying MINI since 2002
2002 is considered new mini . Old ones are models before 2000
I like the modern Mini's of today. I would like to see a modern version of the pickup and the van; for production and not just concepts.
It's nice to see you paid attention to te heritage of the mini. Did you know that there were way more models built off the classic mini. For example a mini riley, a police mini, a mini moke (beach buggy), mini cabrio, a mini countryman, (wood panels) and a mini Clubman. (Different nose)

Wow I want a miniature one of all of them on my shelf. I own a 2006 "S"
Modern Mini cars, especially the Cooper S models are the best vehicles to have the most fun driving for the money. It is the only affordable British sports car. I love my 6 speed Cooper Clubman S that I am ready to buy a Cooper S convertible.

I love the classic mini my family worked at MG Rover and made the minis that are better than Lamborghinis

Love My MINI. Most fun I have ever had driving. Great Experience. Mini Classic S 2 Door.
Actually love both classic and currently drive an 06 R53 and love it. Plan on buying a 3rd generation when I can afford it.
I'm a huge fan of the modern Mini and hope to own one someday.

i love the iconic classic mini way more than the ones on the street today, the old school ones have more character.
First Mini I ever drove was my Aunt’s in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire Scotland i was about 19 years old, I think it was a 69 or 70 model year and drove it through the highlands of Scotland.
