When I had used trailer, similar to your coloring, I had straps laid out for the corners. I cut the straps to work with my Jeep and have 3' more length. I would pull the strap through that ratchet handle, then fold it in such a way where it would set under the handle. Then lock down the handle holding the folded 3' length. I also used axle straps. My rear trailer mount was inside the tires and crossed across the diff housing like you. My front crossed as the axle straps fit inside the knuckle and the trailer mount was on the outside channel. I also used closed hooks on both ends.
Yeah, closed hooks are key! Our first set of straps was custom length and we sent them exactly for MischiefMaker, and that was definitely the fastest and easiest way to manage things...now we have very long straps and it’s because we started to run into several situations where longer straps were needed (hauling friends after ‘incidents’, going between Krawler Hauler and Buggy Hauler, etc...) - so we sent everything back to Macs to be re-webbed to much longer lengths and even had them make custom length/color axle straps (better for getting around the Dana80).
Great job as usual. I have to say, I have watched almost all of your videos. Your professionalism shines. Your a fantastic ambassador for the sport, your driving style is very good and it shows. Your upkeep on your Jeep is all part of the same reflection, and again it all comes through in your videos. You should have sponsors beating a path your way to promote thier products and all that you currently use and have on your vehicle. Keep up the great work, looking forward to seeing what's next. Best of luck to the both of you on your journey and continued success.
Ron Thompson Thank you so much, Ron. Your comment really made my morning. This journey we are on has been filled with so many extreme highs and lows and it’s been really helpful having the ability to share parts of it with all of you! Please stay safe and know that your support really means the world to me and Walter 😀🙏🏻
Well it is certainly appreciated and you both are well deserving. I am looking forward to seeing your endeavors grow to more prosperous outcomes. Times right now are strange, kinda like being in limbo. But the pause button will be tapped soon enough and instead of being back to "normal " things and lessons learned will get better. I believe you both have a true ability to grow in the sport and should. You both exhibit all the right characteristics and professionalism. Not to mention that it is just clear that you two are a good match. There's nothing wrong with reaching for the stars. Again best to you both and keep the rubber side down !!
And to all those who have thier products in use with this team... you should be promoting them completely or working with them to be ... this team is going places.
Overland Citrus well, typically our process is Walter strap down the front axle and I will strap down the rear axle. Then we quickly check each other’s work and then hit the road! Two sets of eyes are always better than one - especially since people always seem to wanna talk when you are strapping down (and I wouldn’t have it any other way) 🤣🤣.
Good way to get your hands dirty.good job.i can wait to get a sticker for my collection on my rifle case and/or truck .I don't have any stickers on my yj at ALL
Should get a set of wheel straps go right over the wheels suspension bounces and loosens straps every time I transport a vehicle always go over the tires
Hi... I have some questions and I hope that you answer them. First what do you think of Baja pro x on road and on sand dunes. Do you recommend them or Baja pro XS again on roaring and sand dunes....and my mind question is why don’t u drive your Jeep instate of putting it on trailer .. is it because the tires are noisy... thank you.
Mohamed Albishri the Baja Pro X is an ‘off-road only’ sticky compound tire. You wouldn’t want to drive with them on the highway, they get destroyed and you will need to replace them often. Even if you didn’t mind replacing them every few months, they are probably the least comfortable tire (road feel and road noise) ever made. The Baja Pro XS is a DOT tire and has much better characteristics on road, but I still wouldn’t want to use it on the road (personally). If you want a great interstate and sand dunes tire, your best bet is a Mickey Thompson Baja Boss (or Baja Boss X if you want a sticky and don’t mind using them on the road).
MischiefMakerTV thank you for your useful reply...one more question... what is your bumpers and fenders brands and model. Also I would like to know your roll cage is it custom made or I can order them
Take a small piece of 2x4 “to act as Jeep” and 8 nails are the tie down spots.. Recreate strapping with string and the nails being the tie down spots. Crisis cross as you do. Get the strings tight and then twist the 2x4 to simulate the trailer going around a sharp curve to fast. You will find the 2x4 “Jeep” will lift in the rear and can actually flip off the Trailer. Never crisscross! From your strap supplier: th-cam.com/video/-zw7pICnfzU/w-d-xo.html
Awesome job!! Love to see people crossing the straps. I feel that makes the difference on weather or not something is gonna move or not. I turn the strap hooks up incase if they loosen up everything stays hooked in place. Just my personal preference overall love it👏
gutwrench1961 the last batch of 50 sold out in 3 weeks. I’ll order some new ones this week and hopefully have them available by the end of the week. Are there any specific colors you prefer? Last time I had grey and black camo. 😀
I had to unsubscribe, then subscribe back to your channel for some reason. Notifications were on, they just were not coming up. TH-cam drama... 🙄 Anyway... 👍✌️
I know quite a few other full grown men that don’t even know how to properly use ratchet straps great way to tie down mischief maker
We all start somewhere 😂 ...thanks for watching! 😀🤙🏻
That sticker is kool looking and I can't wait to get one or 2cof them myself
First time here. Nice rig! Subscribed!

Great video. Amazing info.
Thank you .... hope you are enjoying 😀
Macs.. only ones I trust strapping my JKU. I run a Load Trail buggy hauler but very similar setup.
Love them!!!
Awesome and insightful as always... what is the buggy hauler length (18' or 22') ?
The buggy hauler is just 20’ 😀 it’s the perfect little trailer to whip around from place to place
@@MischiefMakerTV - Thanks, the 22'r I keep borrowing isn't that spry!
Nice decal! 👍🏻

I know allot of people who do that to!!! That’s awesome! Thank you for watching and hopefully see you out there soon 🤟🏻
Also, that’s why we love the macs straps. The hooks have a lever that prevent that from happening. Excellent point!
Def the best way to strap it down! Same as I do too👌🏼
Sweet! I always like to hear what others do as a little bit of a sanity check. 😀🙏🏻
MischiefMakerTV yeah not a lot of people I know cross the rear straps🤞🏼👍🏼
Do you have hats yet Hollie???
