  • You hear me talking about strapping down these cars we review with an 8 point kit during towing events, we get into what that’s all about today. I’m going to show you the right way, and a few wrong ways, cars are handled during towing events as well as where some damages might originate.
I fully expect some pushback from a few Towers on this one, bring it.

Excellent, watched other vids and some did similar or the same but none explained as good the why and why not to use methods. Feel more confident now and to think what we did in the past, even though only short trips, dumb. Going to buy the correct sling set up that you use as i have to pick up a BMW for my son and do a 1000km (620miles) trip on a trailer, thanks mate, very well presented and extremely clear and understandable.

You are not just securing the vehicle to the bed to go down the road, you are securing it for the time that kid runs a stop sign and you swerve to miss and run through a ditch or two. You need that vehicle to stay with you through the whole event.

I sold my auto repair shop 2 years ago, I have been watching many different videos how to tighten down wheels. You are the only one explaining many wrong way of doing it. If it’s a total lost vehicle then we don’t care about it. Thank you and be safe out there! Oh, by the way what kind a rollback is it?

Any advice on installing the net on a tire when it's flat? Use the through the wheel method I guess? Thanks

What is the best method to strap down a classic show car, with adjustable suspension, show wheels, on a regular car trailer?

That’s why I’m my opinion rollbacks are only good if you have a call for more than one vehicles to be towed but mainly they are only good for car accidents. You can tow an electric vehicle with a self loader wrecker tow truck. Just get out of your tow truck and thro the tow dolly’s down. Boom no damage claims. Work smarter not harder and save on the gas as well.

I agree on using a wrecker and dollies more but you Still got to strap the wheels down, at least on the stinger. That’s why you charge by the hour too….why is everyone in such a rush? 🤷‍♂️ Sure a repo or wreck, get it out of the immediate area then take 10 minutes and do it right in a parking lot

2and 3 used to be the only options, other than tying it down from the axel.

@@goobcutusofborg3357 I can’t dispute that Boss. 🫡 Just speaking my truth. I’ve only been in the industry since 2005. First truck was a 1997. I was 8 points since day 1. No claims!
