      Linus does not want youtube anymore. He wants you to see him advertise products at a greedy video platform where you have to pay just to watch videos.

    • @DarkLordAli95
      @DarkLordAli95 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jian Xiang wow are you serious??
      No he didn't say that. all what he said that he'll be uploading a week or few days later on youtube, but earlier on vessel.com. and on top of that, you can get a free one year subscription to vessel.com.
      stop hating because he's trying to make a living. I bet you get jealous and envious whenever you see people trying to be successful, and grow bigger in life, while you're a fucking loser, hating on their success.
      Many youtubers upload their videos earlier on vessel, Linus is not the first, and he won't be the last one. People need to live, and sustain themselves.
      you are pathetic.

    The headphones you tried earlier probably didn't use an atpX codec, which preserves the sound quality over Bluetooth. It's excellent, and featured in both of these sets.

    Active noise cancellation headphones seem to put some sort of pressure on one's eardrums. I cannot wear them without very quickly getting a massive headache. I'd love to know if this technology exists in a manner that does NOT do this.

    does the momentum also have touch controls?

  • @woooweee
    @woooweee 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    So are the batteries in all such headphones permanently irreplaceable?

    • @lbochtler
      @lbochtler 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically speaking you can replace them (i have not actually tried, im basing this on my experience the electronics), but its just a matter of how hard is it to do, and how many tools it takes to get the old one out and the new one in. I would say the rechargeable batteries are non user replaceable. I could be wrong though.
      Also, i do not have these headphones and never will. I am an audiophile that actually likes good quality music, but that comes at a price that not many are willing to pay.

    • @DKtracks
      @DKtracks 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have some cheap wireless phllips headphones for sport, that have batteries in them.
      They have a little circuit that solely allows phillips batteries in there.
      I just used sanyo eneloops (because the original batteries were just poor) and wrapped aluminum foil around the minus end of each battery. This way the circuit was tricked and I can use any battery I want.
      I can make a little tutorial for this if needed. You can also modify your batteries permanently to to this without aluminum foil.

    Massive base with a 16 Hz - 22 KHz range? You should see some Pioneers going all the way down to 7 Hz, and up to 40 KHz. And even though the frequency might be too low to actually hear it, you will most likely feel it.

    • @xskugga
      @xskugga 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Frequency response does equal more bass, it simply means the Pioneers can go deeper...which hardly matters because the Human hearing spectrum drops at 20Hz as you have pretty much already mentioned. Looking at the frequency graph for the HDJ-2000 vs Momentum, the Momentum trumps the HDJ-2000 easily in everything but it has slightly more mid-bass (about 4dB) which produces thump, even considering the bump in the frequency response, the HDJ-2000s have significantly less sub-bass by upwards of 10dB. The HDJ-500 is similar in comparison but has even less sub-bass. The HDJ-1000s though drop of massively starting at about 100Hz (upper bass) down to 15Hz which means little sub-bass if any, the mid and upper bass are significantly less than that of the Momentums as well. The graph I was referencing can be found here: graphs.headphone.com/graphCompare.php?graphType=0&graphID[]=3951&graphID[]=3161&graphID[]=3181&graphID[]=3151&scale=30
      The 50Hz square wave test which measures bass reproduction, and if you've never seen/read one then the flatter the line the better the reproduction, suggests the HDJ-100 is extremely muddy, has decreased sub-bass and upper bass with amplified mid-bass. The HDJ-500 and HDJ-2000 are similar, but the HDJ-500 has more upper bass umph than the HDJ-2000. Both, however, are still pretty muddy. The graph can be found here: graphs.headphone.com/graphCompare.php?graphType=3&graphID[]=3951&graphID[]=3161&graphID[]=3181&graphID[]=3151&scale=30
      The HDJ-1000 sucks, but the HDJ-2000 and HDJ-500 are like more bass light versions of the Beyerdynamic DT990s, which having had them I can say they lean more towards bass light than heavy. The HDJ-500s are worth looking at, but they're no where near as good as the Momentums or DT990s which are basshead cans.

      These are meant for music, the Vengeance line is meant for gaming. Leaving it there, no they cannot. Looking into it further may make it an option, but if you're just doing gaming I don't know if they will be great due to being bass oriented rather than precision oriented.

      @LohJiaHung 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, my brother and my parents wouldn't be able to tell the difference in sound quality. But for people with dedicated amps and DACs and have tried several dozens of high-end headphones, wireless doesn't cut it when you have a wired option.
      But on the go for a regular "prosumer" , headphones like these certainly fit the bill.

    • @xskugga
      @xskugga 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wireless will have a slightly different, and lower quality sound. It's like driving a higher impedance headphone with an amp that can handle a higher impedance, but will struggle. Air is not a great medium for a signal. If you're comparing something like turtle beaches and Corsair Vengeance 2000s it's not a surprise you don't notice a sound since neither are higher quality nor are meant to produce a different or specific sound signature.

      GreyFace This guy is obviously making a joke, referencing to a misconception in video games about the 30 frames per second limit the human eye supposedly has. And it was not only clever it was also very funny.
      Calling someone a troll because he is making a joke makes you look stupid, or you are just doing it to be a troll..
      This is an excerpt from wikipedea: "Trolling" redirects here. For other uses, see Troll (disambiguation).
      In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3]

      If you want good sound AND a decent mic but can't spend more than 80 to 100 bucks, www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-KHX-H3CL/dp/B00JJNQG98. You're welcome. Even Tyler from Mayflower Electronics said " if you MUST have a headset meaning headphones with a mic attached or built into it...These are a solid enough choice".
      Otherwise. Check tek syndicate's forums for good recommendations of great headphones then attach an Antlion mod mic and call it a day for less than 300 bucks depending on your headphones choice.

    • @lbochtler
      @lbochtler 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well if you really try, you could make a audiophile grade wireless headphone, the only problem is almost no one would buy it due to its price. Here is something for you to ponder, I am currently using a Beyerdynamics T1 headphone that cost about 1400$ when i bought it, it is connected to a solid state amp worth about 2000$ as well as a 800$ ish DAC. Now, not considering the power delivery problem as well as size problems (for comparison the amp i use weighs in at 15Kg). Now if you could fit all this into the headphone shell then you would have a true high end headphone that would cost more then the top end headphone at the moment (such as the Stax SR009). not even i would buy such a wireless headphone due to the fact i can get better performance out of some wired cans connected to a nice portable audio player.
      Also another aspect worth considering, my 24Bit FLAC files are above 3MB/s so streaming that without a loss of data threw say Bluetooth would be hard.

    Oh look low end headphones trying to be high end ones...
    Get yourself some real headphones like the Senheiser HD650 or HD800, you will not regret it, well that is if you also get a nice DAC and AMP. Or for portable use get yourself something like a Beyerdynamics DT770 and a good portable music player (not that shit apple sells as a portable music player) and enjoy your music like you have never before.

    • @lbochtler
      @lbochtler 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mochakita That is true, but i was referring to the absolute scale compared to other high end and top end headphones these are not very good. I have had the chance to listen to the Mementos (original) and they are not worth their asking price. A beyerdynamic DT770 250ohms way outperforms the senheisers in resolution and imaging as well as precision.

    • @MrMinitown
      @MrMinitown 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I own a pair of hd 598's and don't get me wrong they sound amazing, but even going back to Apple ear buds I really don't mind. This is obviously subjective as hell but it still sounds like music to me through all headphones

    • @lbochtler
      @lbochtler 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      MrMinitown I am not disputing the fact that even a sub 1$ pair of headphones can create music. The difference in sound qoulity is incredible once you compare say a 100$ headset or headphone to say my 1400$ Beyerdynamics T1, and comparing them to the almost 10K$ Stax SR009 there is another leap in sound quality. But the quality of sound is strongly dependent on the format of the audio (aka MP3 or FLAC) as well as the amplifier used to amplifier the signal from the DAC. I have a 200$ Schiit Magni Modi Stack for my laptop, and it just demolishes any internal sound card there is. I would reccomend you get yourself a 24Bit 48KHz (minimum) sound file from say a audio DVD or SACD and use it as the benchmark for sound. Alternatively i dare you to compare say, spottify or the Itunes shit to a CD or SACD. Also use Foobar200, it bypasses the windows audio drivers and directly uses the sound card. This drastically improves sound quality.
      Another thing you could do is to listen to Vinyl using a good turntable and cartridge, as well as a good phono preamp and headphone amp. This will show you the difference in sound quality between different headphones. My mother said the same thing you did, until i let her compare my T1 on my sound system to her Bose headphones, and then to the cheapo headphones i have for testing vintage amps (as not to damage my more expensive headphones). After that she stooped saying all headphones sound very similar. Well for a period of about 1/2 a year anyway.
