    I make mostly herbal soaps, and they are rustic looking but still beautiful. I really love your idea of using this paper! I think im going to go with the biodegradable shrink wrap and the labels on top, like you’ve done. There’s also paper that you can plant and it grows a plant or herbs 🌿. I’m in the Genesis of my soap making business, I really enjoy watching your videos. I admire the beauty of your soaps and look forward to purchasing some. Peace and Blessings… happy soaping 🧼

    I like those wrappers. You make it look cute and yet simple.
    I do have the bio-degradable shrink wrap, which is thinner than the regular shrink wrap. I have been using it for about 3 years. I have to say, if I get careless and not be watchful, I will get holes because it is way more sensitive to the heat and even then I tend to lose a couple. So it's a toss up. Love these and thanks for sharing 💕

    That's a good, eco-friendly idea. I have hundreds of shrink wraps left, but I'm looking for something different when they're gone. They're also rather labor intensive, plus eco-unfriendly, not to mention all the electricity used to shrink them. I'll check these out when I use the last shrink wrap. Thank you. Speaking of which, I have 22 bars to wrap so I'd better get started!!

    • @EllenRuthSoap

    Ellen, I'm not sure if you know this, but you can get the biodegradable shrink wrap without having to buy the whole system (that's what I did) and then you can just buy a heat gun (I got one from Harbor Freight) and an impulse sealer (I got one from Amazon) to get started. I was recently lucky enough to find a used shrink wrap system at a pawn shop (of all places!) and only paid $50! :-) but I did get started the less expensive way!

    Hi Ellen, I am new to soaping and love your video's they are helpful to someone like myself. I have a quick question, on the soap you are wrapping have you put something on the top or is that slight soda ash. Sorry for asking but I dont really know what soda ash looks like in mild forms.

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Yes, these bars have a bit of soda ash, and also organic oats on top. Ash just looks like a light powder or dust on the top and is easily washed off.

    Online labels is great! I wrap my soap in tissue paper and use my ingredient label to tape it shut. I like the wraps you use but the color doesn't work for my business. Wonder if it comes in white....
