    Is there a way to do this without tape since it's not recyclable? I've been looking for a way to wrap my soap without it and haven't found a solution yet. I plan on switching to reusable bags but that isn't currently in the budget. Thanks :)

    Love this idea. Do you find the scent fades by having the top of the soap open to the air?

    • @CapricaSoapery
      @CapricaSoapery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I don’t have any noticeable issues with scent retention, I have some bars I’ve kept for personal use that are over a year old and still smell great. I find that fragrances lasting depends more on what the fragrance is, versus how you store or wrap the soaps.

    Is it a cost effective and time effective way to package? I do cigar bands, is this faster?

    • @CapricaSoapery
      @CapricaSoapery  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I’m being totally honest…. It is neither faster nor cheaper 😂. For me, it’s time consuming, but I have a tendency to “donate” my time thinking that somehow that doesn’t also cost me money. I love the finished look of these paper wraps, but as production has stepped up I have transitioned to linen bags with sticker labels I can make myself and print at home.

    Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I modified this a little because I was having problems with the paper I was using, I use vellum.
    I just used a 3 inch wide strip and folded it without making a bottom! My soap would not stand up with the thickness of the vellum… The thin paper does work easier. But thank you again for this great idea, I was having problems figuring out how to wrap my soap. Just perfect!

    • @CapricaSoapery
      @CapricaSoapery  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @CapricaSoapery  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I have used different colored papers, but my go-to is the antiqued style papers. I have three stickers that go on - the first goes on the front with my little logo (a round colored sticker) then I have a sticker on the side with the name/fragrance/net weight and then a sticker on the back with my business information, address, FB/Insta and ingredient listing. I use the Avery matte transparent address labels and they give a really nice clean look.

    • @CapricaSoapery
      @CapricaSoapery  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t had any soap/paper reactions, though I don’t use scrapbooking paper. I wonder if maybe the ink types on scrapbooking paper are different as that paper is typically one sided.
