So I just did it and it actually does work. For me it didn’t do 5 min it took me about 15min per hand. I used my Jamaica castor oil I use for my hair and dawn soap, mixed it till it was foam, then I added the hot water. You definitely need like a wooden cuticle stick or a metal one, but it got the job done
Did you have gel polish over the acrylic nails? I'm looking to try this myself but was wondering if it was going to work since it gel polish on the top.
For those that are saying this doesn't work it actually does I'm taking my nails off right now. But the process she showed is backwards if you mix the dish soap and vegetable oil first before you add hot water it actually can take of acrylic nails mix the two ingredients first before adding hot water you want it to look like a paste then add the water. It is a process those 30 minutes and two of my nails came off you will need something thin and metal to lift them off. It is a rinse and repeat process method but it's totally worth and oil does not hurt the nail bed it actually can make your natural nail grow.
Absolutely cool! Never heard of Fairy liquid so doing Dawn and oil, firstly. Then putting hot water in. This is so easy and so much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@taylormoskalik4607 The acrylics are waterproof and water tight. Actually worked best after the nail grew out and you can get them lose from the sides but you have to be really careful on the nail because the acrylics bond and will tear below the nail. If they're long cut them down. Only two did my entire nail remain. In fact the thumbs are still on. I'll cut them down and let them grow out if I don't get to the salon.
It works it just takes a minute. However I did add a little acetone to make the process go quicker. But most of it is just being patient with the process
I’m about to try this, because I definitely do not feel like sitting in a nail shop to get my acrylic off 🤦♀️. I’m so ready to put on my custom press ons 🎉 Update: This definitely worked!!!!
I really wanna try this because my acrylics are to long and my nails seriously need a breather :( but I’m scared if it damages my nails and I don’t rlly wanna see a nail tech someone plss help I’m desperate to get these off :((

Guys I need help: PLEASE So. I think I just cracked my nail in half (natural nail) or I just broke the tip of my finger. But there’s blood and liquid coming out from underneath my acrylic, and I need to get the fake nail off cause I don’t know what’s happened cause I can’t see. Because there’s blood, and it’s INCREDIBLY painful to touch, I obviously am not going to put acetone on my nail because that would hurt like a bitch, but even with this method, I can’t like pop the nail off because it’s still attached to my natural nail (it’s not even lifting up from it) and I’m afraid that if I try pop them off, that it’s going to take my actual nail off with it or cause more pain and damage. What the fuck do I do? I’ve accidentally popped nails off before like completely off and they have never been as sore as this. It’s been 5 hours since it happened and still throbbing. My finger tip is bruised and swollen, and there’s blood around my nail bed and from what I can see, the nail bee under the fake nails is turning purple. Please can someone tell me what to do! Should I cut my fake nail to be as short as I can? Edit: I was leaning my hand back because I was sitting down on the ground and my finger or nail bent completely back, I heard and felt a snap and then instant white hot pain like you can’t believe (I was literally squeezing my finger so hard to stop the pain and like silent screaming, and my whole hand was shaking)
Girl, go to Urgent Care as soon as you can. In the meantime, bandage up your nail so it doesn't get infected. I know this is gonna hurt like shit, but take alcohol wipes and rub it over the wounded area so that itll take away any sort of bacteria that can cause you harm in the long run. Put Neosporin on it before bandaging it, and after that put ice in a ziploc bag (a ice pack) that you can put over it to help ease the pain. I hope it gets better soon, keep me updated and I hope this helped.
@@lilybean6635 thank you for the response. I have a bad habit of dismissing my pain for being over dramatic, but it’s been about 2 days now, and my finger is still swollen. I managed to cut my nail down so it’s a lot shorter now, it’s still very sore to touch, I soaked my nail in acetone in hopes to break the nail down so it was less pressure, but it’s really glued down, so I can’t scrape it off without being very forceful which obviously really hurts my finger. I don’t think my natural nail is cracked from what I can see which worries me about what the snapping sensation and feeling was? But I think if it’s still so sore in a few days I will go to the doctors and see what they say
@@felicity_rose3466 if you haven’t went to urgent care yet (which I highly suggest) then pour rubbing alcohol on your finger and bandage it like the comment above said
@@harmony2027 I didn’t go to urgent care but for the past couple of days I’ve been soaking it in acetone and very carefully scraping the nail off (I managed to cut it very short) and I finally got it off today! 😁 my nail is very bruised underneath, and it’s folding in on its self which is adding a lot of pressure to my finger.
