my coach taught me to use base coat to make an aura / gradient. so after I applied the last layer of nail gel, I cure it 30s, then apply base coat evenly but don't cure them. after applying the base coat, we put the gel color on the desired area then wait for it to "bloom". she told me it works just like the blooming gel technique.
Base gel doesn't work like blooming gel unfortunately. You may see your color spred out a bit, but that's the natural effect of gravity and a curved nail. Actual blooming gel, should pull that color across the nail, and fast. You barely have enough time to get the all color on, in a pattern as it moves instantly. If you look at the videos from 5 or 6 years ago, when it 1st came out, you'll see how the real, original stuff moves. You shouldn't have to let you nail sit on the side for 5 min to bloom... That's gravity...
thank your for sharing all your secrets! this channel has answered so many questions for me and I can see being an irreplaceable resource for so many nail artists. So impressed with these videos and watching your channel grow is so inspiring! thanks again for sharing and for your hard work!
loved how detailed the explanations were! i feel like this was so detailed of a tutorial, especially since you mentioned the pros and cons of each method! :D
Great video! I'm new to nails but I come from making miniatures (of the dollhouse/diorama variety of all scales) and making resin art. Started doing it just for my own nails, developed an allergy so now I will make press ons which are REALLY just teeny tiny canvases. Your videos are great for anyone wanting to start making press ons so thank you so much! However, there is no way I will manage to keep a workspace so neat and clean and tidy!
im starting my press on nail business and my friend gifted me an airbrush for my birthday like 3 days ago and i have no idea how to use it this video couldnt have came at a better time 🥺🙏🏾 thank youuuu
🤣 "check out all the men on the internet painting warhammer figures..." so true. Air brushes are fun to play with , I would say learning how to keep it clean so it can continue to flow correctly is important. I guess this goes for keeping all of your tools clean. The dancing Scottish Elmo's just made my day. Great video - very thorough.
New nail tech here 💜 I'm only a few days/videos into your channel and I love your vibe so much! Small blooming gel tip, (if you haven't received it already) mixing some blooming gel with the paint helps it self level/bloom more!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! And everything is soo aesthetic ❤ as a person who doesn't speak english very well I really appreciate the way you describe everything
Thank you! I would looove an in depth tutorial vid about airbrush techniques for nails/ how to use an airbrush, cleaning it, etc. if you would be so inclined! 😊 also I love the good ole Mia secret blooming gel- it’s worked well for me and it’s pretty thin so not a lot of bulk ❤
Thank you so much. I just started at a salon a week ago and have been struggling with aura nails especially when everyone wants them right now. Will try these tips out next time
I think it might be to late to say it now but, a really good blooming gel it’s the one from GAOY, it lets the color gel run so smoothly and it doesn’t creates any bump to the nail.
I’d absolutely love you to do more tutorials, I love your vibe. I’m going to start doing my own nails at home and I’m slowly preparing myself to purchase the supplies I need. Totally will be tuning in again!
Everything bout this video is impeccable 💯 from the knowledge, aesthetics and delivery. Thank you for sharing these which others wouldn't share their trade secrets with ✨✨
pls do a video on airbrushing and the difference between gel + acetone mix, or the acrylic paint and how to clean it and stuff 😭🙏. And also i just use topcoat as a blooming gel…👀
I loves this video!!! It would mean the world if you made an indepth video on how to use an airbrush. I just got one and i have no clue how to use it. Love this type of content!! 🥰🩷💅🏼
Can you do a video for us newbies on how to actually clean one of those super dense sponges after getting gel on it? Do you have to clean it immediately after use, or can you wait until you've finished your nail set?
Awesome video! I've tried most of these techniques & personally prefer the pigment option on clients; If I want to layer another colour I just do another thin coat of matte top like you said. Otherwise the float method for press ons is where it's at - Let gravity do the work for you! x
The method I mostly use is the pigment, but it’s hard to layer the different colors without the nail getting too thick, I’m going to try the bloom gel method next time! I love watching your videos 🤍 keep up the great job!!
I've never clicked on a video so fast. This was very helpful! Which pigment powders do you like to use and which brush? I also can not wait to try the float technique.
I have recently found this channel and I am in LOVEEE with all your videos. I was hoping you could maybe do some nail art tutorials as it would be so helpful and all your tutorials make sense. Thank you!!!!🩷🩷🩷🩷
If I wanted to do nails just for myself (not to sell), what are the basic items I would need to just start press - on nails at home? I love all these videos you are uploading and I'm so inspired!
Thank u so much for this tutorial it has helped greatly! Question, how do you print your backing cards and what size, could you maybe do a tutorial? Thank you, love your content, such amazing talent!
Thank you for blessing us with this wisdom 🫡🥹🫶🏻 personally I’m definitely a float / feather person because syrup gels just make it so easy to achieve 😌
Thank you so much for the video! My fave technique so far is pigment, I find that's the easiest but I really wanna try out an airbrush! Could you please detail how you made your own airbrush paint?
Thank you, this is so helpful. I am planning to have a press on nails business but I'm really not sure if I should do it. I feel like I'm not good enough to sell
I thought this video was so helpful and honestly all of your long form videos are super helpful. Could you make a video about how to make 3d nails? What materials are best and a tutorial of how to use them?😁
thank you for this helpful video! i'm learning so much from you (': i'm hoping to launch my own business in may (for now i am practicing my nail art and watching my fave nail youtubers)
i feel like top coat does a better job than actual blooming gel. but also u just need to wait a little more for the gel to dissipate, it looks like you're not really waiting enough. that could be why it stays so tiny and leaves a bulk.
LOOOVE your channel! i was wondering if you include nail glue in your packages or the sticky adhesive stuff? and what brand? thank you for all your tips!!
Hi!! I’m new here! Do you have a video on materials for girlies who just want to do nails for at home (and don’t need the most ultra professional supplies)?! That would be rly helpful bc I don’t consistently do my nails for the longest time (and when I do, it’s mostly the basic or just maintain them clean)!! God bless ❤
Also, if you don’t have it yet, it would be nice if you could possibly give alternatives for girls who don’t do UV (and just use their natural nails as a canvas)!!
Thank you so much for this! Been using the pigment method but I always get streaks and it’s so frustrating so been looking for an alternative. For the syrup gels can I use builder gel instead?
this was an amazing video! if you ever made an airbrush video i would appreciate it soooo much. ive gone through like 6 airbrush machines bc i dont know what to clean with between color switching besides alcohol and then it ends up messing up the flow of air pressure causing my airbrushing to be more splatter-y and splotchy rather than seamless and smooth like how it is the first couple of uses! even the anatomy of airbrush is so confusing LOL everytime i have taken my machines apart to clean them fully, i dont know how to put them back together T__T
The graphic design throughout this video is S T E L L E R 🙌🏻
Absolutely! It’s so fun
this video is genuinely beautiful
Stellar *
Loved this tutorial!! Pls do more about anything!

I agree!!!
Same!

I mostly use blooming gel but I do agree with how bulky it makes the nail. Thank you for going into depth about the other options!

I love wildflowers blooming gel 🙂 I find you get more spread with thinner layers of both the blooming gel and pigment gel
The method I mostly use is the pigment, but it’s hard to layer the different colors without the nail getting too thick, I’m going to try the bloom gel method next time! I love watching your videos 🤍 keep up the great job!!
Loved your video ❤
And I like the makartt blooming gel. I think it helps spread the color a lot more.
i like to do a combo of bloom gel and feathering bc the bloom gel just helps the feathering blend more seamlessly and quicker!
ohh! Crushing it. I’ve never been able to master this combo
I've never clicked on a video so fast. This was very helpful! Which pigment powders do you like to use and which brush? I also can not wait to try the float technique.
Binge watching your videos because my adhd brain and your style of content and explanations 🤝🏼
❣️
Best blooming gel in my opinion is by daily charme hands down it’s the only one I use and it’s the only one I’ve used that’s thin

Thank you so much for the video! My fave technique so far is pigment, I find that's the easiest but I really wanna try out an airbrush! Could you please detail how you made your own airbrush paint?
I learned from the Warhammer painting videos too! xD so much of their techniques are great for nail art.
I love this video ! I would love a more in depth tutorial on using an airbrush machine 🥹

unrelated to the vid, but what glue do u use to apply the press-ons and how long do they last? i’ve tried so many glues but they never last a week 😭
Thank you so much for this! Been using the pigment method but I always get streaks and it’s so frustrating so been looking for an alternative. For the syrup gels can I use builder gel instead?
Can you do a video on hard gel techniques
Thanks for the video! What airbrush machine do you use/recommend?
