This right here is proof of concept now. The next step is to have one of the guys use them as their dailies to see how long they actually last. If it's a reasonable amount of time then he could make more to sell in his shop. People would love them and using resin as an outer coat might help with the grip.

i can see those wood wheels having their function and purpose, limited, yes, but they have their place for those who like that smooth slide feel also on a board for artistic display, not to ride but an artistic designed board that was built for decor purpose, while it is super minuscule, wood does have a very small amount of rebound and flex, heh i must say blue helmet kid was killin' it on those wheels it has to b a really strange feeling to ride those and obviously they are not stable because of the slickness but, still, cool creative creation !

It almost seems like the impact was dispersed in the way the wood was crafted for the wheels. That's really incredible.
The thing I noticed as the video went on, seeing the wheels pick up some of the worn-out wax l, polyurethane and other things, they became more grippy and more stable

Razor spot definitely after I say about 5 slides, chipped wheels after a lot of ledge grinds, and broken wheels after a couple sends off the 6 stair. All in all this is dope I would love to see how buttery the wheels are on smooth concrete
Maybe use a softer resin or something when creating the blanks? Or add something else in the layers for better grip?
Yes you should run the washer's they actually serve a purpose Gabe much like those spacers that are meant to be installed in between the bearings yet for some reason so many skater's fail to install. Ignoring both of those prematurely wears out the bearings as it puts extra side pressure on them especially if you overtightened them which is easy if that barrel spacer was ignored. I will say these wheels definitely looked kinda cool but new would be a letdown from the start as just to hard of a material but give them credit for making them.

Maybe just add a texture to the outside surface to help them grip the floor, or ride them on a rough road for awhile before skating the slick concrete or wood ramps.
