Absolutely! Bikes are for everyone. Marketing bikes for sport was a symptom of auto-dependence - when cars started terrorizing our streets, the bike industry shifted towards sport cycling. Just like not everyone is a NASCAR driver, everyone should feel comfortable biking for transportation, regardless of clothing or physical fitness.
This looks an amazing adventure. I did something similar in the UK along a canal, fell off a couple of times with the mud but had a massive smile on my face!

@@andyking6979 on the Bromptons Sarahs work flawlessly on all of her bikes. Ben, of course, managed to destroy his first model while in Taiwan, but now is on the new upgraded european version. Yes, it does make a difference up to 80km of riding, afterwards there come other problems that even suspension can't fix.

Genau. Wir versuchen immer den Rhein zu erreichen um mal was anderes zu sehen. Aber mit RNV ist das eine absolute Katastrophe und man wird hier bei uns auf dem Weg bis zum Ortsausgang schon 10 mal von irren Lastenradlern und anderen Kampffliegern gerammt. Lieber schnell in der Wald

A fold up bike got me back into biking after a 60 year hiatus. First trip was 10 miles on gravel and I got the bug.
