Another great video. I owe a lot of what ive learned to you. Been with u since about 2000 subscribers glad to see you growing. Also congrats on making sounds for one of my fave plugins chromaphone. Keep going and wish u tons of future sucess.
So find a sample, pop things though bits and bobs to get a bitty crackly John Bonham then make it snappy by chopping top n bottom, lighten it to achieve a metallic sort of heavy overdriven vibe. Not forgetting pitched layering. Finally, crank things up til your ears bleed. Fit for all sub genres.
Hello dear can you please make a video about mixing process, busses, fx on Bitwig? I play acoustic , symphonic , pop , jazz music ... can i still make it on Bitwig?
You are that rare man who has own balls and don't overboost low and low-mid frequencies in your voice after recordings. Or at least doing it quite accurate. ))
Hi, Venus! Could you tell me, what PC configuration (cpu, ram, gpu etc.) do you have? What tips could you give in this area? I ask it in terms of preparing my own which would be enough for music production and sound design for 3-5 years ahead Your tuts are awesome as always!
I am unfamiliar with whatever program you are working in. For the actual software/daw/plugin that you are using to edit and compile the slices, can you recommend something similar and efficient that I can use in Cubase? Would something like Battery work?
Hi I like the tape vari speed effect, but unfortunately Reason 10/11 doesn't have any such thing (i wish it did), are there any plugins that simulate tape vari speed?
I know a lot of people already made this kind of video but, could you make a tutorial on how to make dubstep drums from scratch? Like from simple waves.
Cool as 10. Venn Audio also has a commercial V-clip but as usual, it's stuff I would never use. Now I know how to create sick drums can you fix my bad taste? 👻😃
Haha unfortunately for that you're on your own. Check out Freeclip if you don't have it though, great for adding some 'thiccc' to any sound or just getting a tiny bit of extra level out of something...................................or totally crushing it 😁
Close! Disperser is actually a special allpass filter effect. One way to sorta recreate it would be a phaser with many poles (like 30+) with a large bandwidth and no feedback with a 100% wet mix with no modulation. Then, you can use the frequency to find the target area you want to enhance. Not totally the same, but a closer approximation!
@@VenusTheory eq3 acts as an allpass filter when you dont use any of the bands, its just weak. you then just put a few in series and you get a stronger effect. you can also change the split points in eq3 to accentuate different frequencies. i see what youre saying with the phaser but its not entirely practical as most phasers dont do that many poles. idk if you have ableton but try it
You are good in what you do mate, but you depriving the world of your voice. Imagine how famous you would be reading an advertise on how that pill works for baldness. Or as massimo decimo meridio.
Bold of you to assume I was wearing pants.
I like to feel the bass, what of it!
I prefer your workflow, you actually explain what we are doing. not throwing parameters at us and calling it sounds design
Give a man a patch and he makes a beat, teach a man to patch and he sits there making noises and realises it's 3am.
@@VenusTheory The struggle is real
@@VenusTheory and thats what we want!
@@VenusTheory I'm gonna make a t-shirt with that
Great video Cameron, you never fail to bring high quality tutorials to us!
Happy to be of service!
Respect on knowing what everyone was thinking with drum saturation and calling them out bout distortion lol props.

One of the real OGs! And thanks haha, was really cool to be involved with that project!
Don't you worry - I've got plenty of big moves left to make!
Me: that's a sick drop
Cameron: I crapped out some serum patches
Thanks for the useful processing tips!
Enjoy! Let me know if you end up making something cool with it!
Very useful information especially the drum compression bits!
Cameron! Absolutely class content, so thank you for keeping it coming!
Awesome tutorial man! There are so many concepts to dig into here and it's all laid out in a very easily digestible way. Time to make some drums
🥁🙌
Coming in clutch with what I needed ahahaha
I always feel like the news guy is teaching sound design every time i hear your voice lol.
Awesome now watching

Cam, you’re one sick puppy. Great video. Have you got a tutorial on modulating basses to get this type of sound from those serum parches?

Ay! You can check out a full breakdown of my setup at venustheory.com/gear
Glad you enjoy the channel! Cheers!
How to get hats and tambourines in dnb to groove? My drums never bounce. Even if I copy midi patterns from tutorials. :(
I am wondering if you take into account the phase alignment when layering your drum hits (i.e. Kick/Snare)?
Great Video^^
Super peaky peaks 😅👍

where can I find that starting sample 171_D&B1?

Yo! In Cubase, you can use Grooveagent for the same process!
@@VenusTheory thanks!

Already did! Check out my drum sound design two part series and I cover a lot of that as well as some more advanced tips.

anyone in ableton who wants what disperser does, add a couple of eq3s in series to your chain and you will get thr same sort of sound
