So default MA2 MP experience is Lyran Alliance vs. Draconis Combine? Or are they the Word of Blake vs. Wolf's Dragoons like in the campaign?

It's factionless unless you go into Conquest where you can actually pick what house you fight for, along with the WoB and the Dragoons.
