With these older trucks such as the 5.0 5.8 and 460 7.5L common problems most of the time people also hard to look places his check the thermal housing outlet as they tend too leak over age in gasket making a small puddle leak down onto the intake. 5.0 and 5.8 manifolds always tend too crack, If you ever notice the transmission shifts hard into gear not only maybe it's a bad solenoid but the most forgotten sensor people dont know about is the Manual Level Position Sensor MLPS sits on the driverside on the transmission and they are prone to getting moisture and cracked overtime cause your transmission to give inaccurate hard shifts and overdrive light flashing. Check the carrier bearing on the driveline extended cab they can become loose and snap off as well
@@wyatt3604 Yep! talked the seller down to 2900 for one with 4x4, practically rust free, and very clean interior. Brand new all terrains and came with a tool box for the bed. Some leaks but thats to be expected and I dont mind working on my cars. I love it

me too bro im going down tommarow to look at a 1994 ford f150 5.0 4x4 reg cab 5 speed. it has 106k miles on it and it only needs a little body work. If all goes well ill be buying my 1st truck and v8 powered car! plus 4x4 and 5 speed make it really fun to drive!
Looking at one of theses tomorrow (92 2wd-auto). Only has 88k original miles (Carfax says) but it's been on non-op for a while. Original owner died, and the new owner just got it a month ago. It started but seller says trans is leaking fluid (immediately when fluid gets put into it). I don't know much about these trucks..but besides the transmission... everything else checks out. He's only asking $1,400. So I feel like even dropping in a new trans would be a good deal. Especially since she runs, no dents, minimal rust (even with white pain) etc.
Dude you're pointing to the bell housing inspection rubber plate if you're getting a black or oil coming out that's generally your rear main seal in the engine possibly tranny but I doubt it if you had that training rebuilt

what i always ask them is would they trust their wife or daughter to drive it a long distance w/o any problems. this usually appeals to their emotions and protective side and they’ll tend to be more forthcoming in this state of mind. its a psychological hack!

after watching your video on the 6’ RC lift im no longer going to be doing anything to my 94 f150 xlt 5.0 2wd im just 17 so should I spend the extra money and get the 8’ skyjacker lift or just get a better truck for lifting?
yea i did mine and we didn’t have to .. we took the whole exhaust off and did a whole bunch of other stuff but we didn’t have to take lift the engine🤷♂️

I was given a 95 f150 with the 5.0, rwd, with a 5 speed (4 speed with overdrive) its a fun af truck but I broke the trans
