I like your Russian missile disincentive scheme, Sergej! Harpoons or Naval Strike Missiles might be a better option than Tomahawks for Ukraine. The only operable Tomahawks in our arsenal are ship & sub-launched only, to the best of my knowledge & it might be tricky to convince the US to lend you a Burke or Virginia to use as a launching platform. 🙂
If I was Zelenskyy I probably would add Naval Strike Missiles to my wish list, though. It’s an excellent heavy-duty multi-platform high-subsonic cruise missile AND you wouldn’t have to rely on the US to support them. The NSM was mainly developed by Norway so even of Trump does win you wouldn’t have to ask for his defense department’s permission to support the system. 🙂👍
I’d also be looking to have a few more chats with Israel. They have some EXCELLENT long-range, multi-platform cruise missiles. Bibi hoped that by maintaining a low-profile & not openly antagonizing Russia he might spare his people from reprisals from Russian allies & proxies. That ship sailed on October 7. I’ve got a few very close friends in Israel, including a couple who are moderately senior officers in the IDF. Ukraine & Israel should never be natural allies. It hasn’t gone unnoticed in Tel Aviv & Jerusalem that Ukraine is one of a tiny handful of nations that didn’t and hasn’t tolerated Hamas’ useful idiots on the far left.
And they do have some wonderful toys…
