Beautiful poem, @devorah1961. So creative. Happy Birthday, Janet and Claudia. Love all your sweaters and yarn choices, ladies. Claudia, I knit the Amalie sweater a few years ago out of Biches &Buches Le Gros in a chocolate brown and red. It’s one of my favorite sweaters. Happy knitting ladies. ❤
Oh my, all those beautiful sweaters- wish there were more hours in the day. I want to make all of them lol! Thanks for all the yarn descriptions, pattern recommendations and the fun times!
Congratulations ladies on your 4K milestone! 👏 🎉 Lots of beautiful projects in this episode and a couple went straight to my favorites. Looking forward to seeing the sweaters on you at Rhinebeck this year. Happy Knitting!
Hi Ladies: Congratulations again to attaining 4K subscribers! Happy belated birthday, Janet and Claudia! Hope you gals had an awesome and amazing one! The poem is beyond wonderful and lovely, what a multi-talented knitter! I love the all the amazing beautiful projects and yarn. Continue success with your awesome podcast! It is awesome to start the day with your lovely podcast, what a treat! Wishing you gals a wonderful, restful, and relaxing summer! Happy knitting! ❤
Congratulations!! I have been watching you from the beginning. I love seeing all your knits and the details. The poem is beautiful. Very special. Thank you for your podcasts.
Happy birthday to Janet and Claudia! My grandson turned two on the 27th so close to Janet and he’s my youngest. My oldest turned 11 on the 8th. Closer to Claudia! I always look forward to your podcast and seeing what you are knitting and drinking!! I’ve been with you from day one as well! Can’t wait to see all of those finished objects next episode lol! Congratulations to the winners!!
Happy Birthday(s) and Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your projects! Really do enjoy the “fashion show”. You always give encouragement and share such great tips! I always enjoy our “visits”! And…thanks for having a white wine (can’t do reds..migraine)
Debbie, Thanks for all of your nice comments. I’m glad you enjoy our modeling of our sweaters. So glad you enjoy our white wines we’re having over the summer too. Cheers! 🧶🍷
Belated happy birthday to our two lovely blondes! How lucky you are getting that gorgeous yarn as presents. I always take inspiratin from your beautiful projects. My favorite bundles on Ravelry keeps on growning thanks to you! lol
Congratulations! That poem was awesome! I plan on starting Acro Iris next. Seeing your Janet is making me want to cast on now.😊 Happy birthday, ladies!
Claudia, on the Friend to Friend, where ribbing flips, Patty Lyons has a “fix”: in the first row after ribbing, if you’re working in the round, slip the knits (in the rib) with the yarn in back and purl the purls. Apparently only works if you bring the yarn snugly across the back of the slipped stitches. There’s a different technique if you’re working flat.
Congratulations on 4K! Tammie I also swatch with the yarn first then find a pattern I want to make that meets that gauge. Have you made Wisp by Caitlin Hunter? It’s been in my queue for a while and it is a 16 gauge pattern with mohair. Your orbits is out of this world beautiful and I love your vest. Janet your pressed flowers pullover is gorgeous and I love your Arco Iris. Claudia I love love love the color “Barbara” on you. Thank you for another great episode. Rachel S.
I’m feeling Claudia with the multiple Isabelle Kraemer patterns. I just finished the Aileas cardigan which i loved knitting and i am now knitting my second Fjolla sweater, this time using Cascade Ultra Pima. I live in Colorado and most of the year, it is chilly in my house so i wanted a long sleeve cotton long-sleeved shirt. Thank you for all the inspiration. 😊
Hi Tammi! I needed something in a certain gauge and I found out that you can add your desired gauge to the search filters. At the top left just click on "Jump to a filter." Then "Select from all filters". Scroll down to "gauge". I love this feature.
Another lovely and prolific podcast! Janet, your Autumn Alpine is gorgeous, as is your Trillium Lake. But, don't you hate going back to "finish" something that didn't turn out exactly as you hoped? I just did that with a neckline that was too big on a sweater. Claudia, what is happening with your Cartwright? You put so much work into that one! Happy birthday to both Janet and Claudia. And, congratulations on all the followers as well as to the winners!!
Thank you! I don’t like the idea of going back to redo something that I completed and was happy with. However, I haven’t rushed to tear it back yet either. I’ll get to it sometime soon. Claudia has put her Cartwright in time out but if she wants to complete it, she will need to get it back out soon and work on it again. Thanks for your nice comments. Cheers! 🧶🍷
The cables at the very top of the white sweater (Tammi’s, in Cascade)-are they twisted differently from the rest of the cable? Probably optical illusion. Lovely. I love so many of the patterns you ladies knit-own many of them, unknitted! I also like the fact that you have eclectic yarn and pattern taste. I think every podcast sends me looking at something on Ravelry.
What a surprise to hear you guys like the poem!! I am elated. XXX Maybe you will like these Tammi: Lavender Tank Top by Along avec Anna [16 stitches and 17 rows = 10 cm]; Sanna Cardigan by Rebecca Clow [16 stitches and 30 rows = 10 cm in Lace]; Turtle Dove Cardigan by Sonder Yarn Co.[16 stitches and 21 rows = 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch] -> all on Ravelry. Yes, you are welcome to claim the poem for yourselves. It is a gift. I don't want any credit. XXX And yes you have said my name right.
Tammi, I am knitting the Turtle Dove Cardigan by Melissa Clulow of Sonder Yarn Co and it’s 16 stitch gauge. There is also a sweater in the same pattern (by Espace Tricot).
Another great episode. Come on out to the west coast for Flock. Seattle is a fun city. I’m not traveling to Rhinebeck but I see Brooklyn General is hosting a woolen affair again this year
So much yarny inspiration! :) While watching your podcast, I've been swatching some Knitting for Olive merino and trying to choose the right pattern (had bought it for the Marysia cardigan by Vert and Rose but I am struggling with the gauge). Looking through other patterns I already have (but haven't knit yet) to see if I could find a good match, I found the Fryda (a Berocco pattern) that might work for Tammi at 16 stitches/4 inches. I still want to knit that one but have to find the right yarn...
Congrats and wondering if you have tried soaking the garment in diluted vinegar for a couple hours, then rinse in cool water with very little wool wash. Some say the wool was is what makes the garment bleed.
Happy Birthday Claudia and Janet!🎉 Congrats again on 4K subscribers! I've been watching since day one and always enjoy seeing all your projects!
Thank you so much!!
