Also, all this dude talked about was winning a championship which was absolute BS to the Vikings fans. Tom Brady isn’t the goat because he was the best thrower of the football. He’s the goat because he took team friendly discounts to uplift the roster around him in an effort to win championships. As much as I like Kirk off the field, it was frustrating at times watching him on the field.
    Which Kirk was going to show up? The guy who would toss a 65 yard TD between 2 safeties (very rare)? Or the guy who would avoid the risky play on 3rd and 8 and toss it to the back for a 3 yard gain (usually)?
    He’s a very good QB. Great? Don’t know about that. I respect that he’s been able to get his $$$ when he’s able. 300 million is impressive, especially without any real major head trauma.
    He seems like a stand up guy. I never really understood why the Vikings (and now the Falcons) paid him that much. Too bad he got injured last year. Who knows what would’ve happened. He is an easy guy to root for. I did want to see him succeed. I admit I had mixed feelings when he left. Can only wish him the best.

      As well as Darnold is doing, think about this....Kirk would be doing far better than him. It'd be his THIRD year with the same play caller (for the first time in his career) and throwing to guys he's been throwing to for years and would have a far better defense that was 31st in 2022 and was just getting the hang of Flores' defense in 2023 before Kirk got hurt. Kirk has new HC, new OC and new young receivers and a defense that is a lot like Donatell's defense. But Kirk can still sling it. So as a long times Falcons fan these are things I believe everyone can agree with.
    -Kirk is a really good dude:
    If you watch the Quarterback series or even just watched his press conferences throughout the year he has been a true professional through and through and I'm excited that MP gets to sit and learn behind a leader like him. They left that extended cut for a reason he was clearly a beloved guy in MN and he knows he can be playing a whole lot better.
    -Football is the ultimate team sport:
    Only the players and coaches know if an interception is truly a bad decision or a breakdown in communication between the QB and WR. That being said, the whole team needs to play better, full stop. The penalties the busted coverages on defense like you can't point at one person for all these mistakes. It's a combination of the players and coaches, but we just went through a massive gauntlet of defenses and we'll have the opportunity to get right if this team can buckle down and play to their potential
    -The season isn't over:
    Maybe I'm overly optimistic but at 6-3 most people thought the division was a wrap. We have definitely lost some games we thought we wouldn't for a number of reasons. The season long saying of "Outrun the South" has truly been tested over the last 4 games, but we could still absolutely finish 10-7. It's sad that even that doesn't guarantee us a spot if the Yucs win out, but it would be our first winning season since 2017. If falling out of first place doesn't motivate the team Idk what else will. Silver lining is for 3 quarters we went toe to toe with the Vikings before the wheels fell off. If we do get into the playoffs there is no better way to do it than on a win streak.

    • @Paula-mv8im
      @Paula-mv8im 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Uh....Goff and Stafford aren't any more mobile than Kirk is. It's working pretty good for them. KOC's offense doesn't need a mobile quarterback to function well. Kirk would be doing far better than Darnold and the Vikings would probably be 13-0. In 2022, the Vikings went 13-4 with no run game and Donatell’s crappy defense in KOC’s first year. It'd be his THIRD year with the same play caller (for the first time in his career) and throwing to guys he's been throwing to for years and would have a far better defense that was 31st in 2022 and was just getting the hang of Flores' defense in 2023 before Kirk got hurt. He would probably be on his way to a 5000 yard season. Jefferson would for sure be getting more than 1800+ yards (had 1809 yards in 2022). In Atlanta, Kirk has new HC, new OC and new young receivers and a defense that is a lot like Donatell's crappy defense. But Kirk can still sling it. For some reason, the offense has not been on the same page recently (per Jay Gruden) and getting way too many penalties that are just killing drives.

    • @Paula-mv8im
      @Paula-mv8im 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Pitts is not performing to his ability. It's Drake London and Darnell Mooney who are the main receivers and are having career years as well as Bijan Robinson.
