I too love the beach, the tranquility, the waves, sand and shells. it's really my happy place where I spend time enjoying time with Jesus and all of His creation. That time fills my soul and lifts my spirit. Jesus spent a lot of time on the beach with the disciples so it was a special place for Him too. Thanks for taking us along. I loved to hunt sharks teeth when i was much younger and then i started hunting shells. I so enjoyed it. Now i am a shut in and can't get out for enjoyment at all... This is why i overjoyed to have found y'all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and bless you!!

Stefanie, I used to pick up any shell I came across. Having to carry them all the way was pretty hard but worth it! Could Oliver drop you off at the farthest point with the wagon and go drop the boat at the usual place? That way you'd only have to walk one way!
Yeah, probably, but then I wouldn't cover as much beach by walking it both directions 😄 ↔️ & would only be spending half the time shelling with you guys. 😉
Yep. I saw it! Funny you asked about the crab shells. I have a whole display of them!😊 You're right! Sometimes you do need a beach day. We love you guys too!❤️ Well. Steph, I have started to slow down on collecting shells. I just don't have the room for them. But I do like to pick them up and look at them or take pictures. I certainly know what you mean by peace of mind on the beach. It was very healing after a couple of deaths in the family. And, I too feel closer to God out there. YFSS is looking forward to part 3!❤️❤️
🧐🐚😁 I say that I'm going to do better. Cause we are definitely short on room too in our tiny house. But I have a hard time turning away from the whelks or sand dollars - 😬 they are like French fries to me, I'm hooked hopelessly! 🙃🤣🍟🩵🐚🥰 The struggle is REAL! 🐚😵💫🤪

I probably would be a hoarder too, but I don't live near water. Plus, I can't walk, so I guess that's a thing too. Shells are so beautiful. They make me think how beautiful life can be.

I only get to the beach once, sometimes twice a year if we're lucky, so I really enjoy going along with you on your videos. They definitely help with the beach/ocean/shelling withdrawals. So glad I'm not the only one who goes for my shells as an escape from this crazy world and life's drama, they are my peaceful place. The memories of finding them, the excitement/thrill I felt, where, etc. Even when I can't get to the beach, I still have them ~ and your videos of course! Thank you for taking the time to do these.

I have some large gallon jars with lids and I keep urchins in them because they usually smell. Like the spines attached also.

We go to Great Exuma island in Bahamas and I shell every day! I pack home so many shells and sea ferns etc. I love it

I love watching your videos, here up in New Brunswick, Canada. I love beachcombing too, but do not find near the shells you do. I do find lots of sea glass. I plan to decorate my back garden (in progress) in the nautical theme. Perhaps in one of your future videos, you can show us, how you decorate your yard and how you display your treasures ... to give us some neat ideas. LOL. Keep searching and thanks for bringing us along on your adventures :-)

I always say it is where I feel closest to God! There hasn’t been a time when I have gone to a beach and haven’t had a nice conversation with the big man upstairs. I talk to my loved ones that have passed away. I think that is why I consider it “my calm” it takes the anxiety right out of my body. I so miss it desperately 😢 We are at a whopping 5 degrees in Massachusetts today and I’m in my bed at the beach with you guys. Thanks again for taking those of us that can’t go 💜🙏🏻✌🏻🐚🐬🦐🍤🦀🧜🏻♀️🚢🦪

I am definitely going to miss it now that my health is on the decline. Living there is a dream. We are in another storm now that will go until tomorrow night. I walk the beach each day collecting shells and I love watching your videos! I’ve learned to go out right when the high tide is going down to find more treasures! Some days I fill my bag and some days are slow. I found a conch and two giant cockles the other day! 🎉🎉🎉I say my Rosary everyday while walking and shelling.
How awesome to live close enough to walk the beach daily!? Yep, you never know what the beach will offer on any given day, a bag full of treasures or just nice walk with a beautiful view! 🌊👣🐚

I too am a shell hoarder!! Monday we drove 50 miles down to the cut that ends North Padre Island and across the water starts South Padre Island. I found 230 moon snails/shark eyes!!!! Im not sure how many my friend got but it was awesome!!! I have never tired of searching the beach!! Happy shelling!!!

I love watching your videos even though I don't comment very often.We collect collect rocks on our beach in Oregon. The shells aren't all that spectacular. . I love nature and watching the garden grow and canning and preserving the harvest as well. There's a Falcon nest in a giant pine tree across the road from our house and I like watching them. There's living creatures everywhere. The deer and the turkeys that visit and bring their babies in the Spring. It's all so much fun. For me. This is the real world. The rest of it well. It can just stay somewhere else.

I love you all and appreciate you taking us shelling with you both. I needed this more than you know. Next time you go would you please take a long stop and just let me see the ocean. You don’t know how much I need it. I’m not able to make it to the beach right now. My heart has gotten worse and I need a pacemaker/defibrillator and I am in a battle trying to get disability I’m close to being able to get on transplant list and all I want to do is see the ocean. I’m weak and dizzy because my blood pressure is low. They took me off of my medication except fluid pill and one blood pressure medication that I need to keep my heart working better. They said I am having opposite effects than a normal heart patient they usually have high blood pressure and mine is normal. They said I’m a rare case. I’m fighting hard because I want to go to the beach

I couldn't agree with you more when you said that being on the beach makes you feel closer to God! That's the way I've always described it to my friends. There's just something about the ocean and walking on the beach that makes me feel like I'm walking with God. I told my husband it's like medicine for my soul when I'm at the beach. We lived on the Oregon coast for 20 plus years. I would’ve been so happy to see that many shells on our beaches. I would spend hours hunting shells and driftwood. I’d take three old hippie bags with and fill them. I miss it so much. I have to travel six hours to get back there now, it’s one of my bucket lists to take a trip to here and Florida. My sister and I would race on the beach to be the first to find the next best shell😅😅

There isn't just one specifically about our shell displays. Just randomly, when we have videoed in or around our home during different videos, we would show them while we were yapping. 🗣🗣🗣🐚🐚🐚

We mainly just use them for decor. We have a few shells listed in our eBay store but really just because our Saltaholics ask to buy things at times. We are truly shell hoarders! 🤗🐚🐚🐚🐚🤗

Do you do something to help keep the spines on the urchins?
We just rinse them well to get the sand off & put them in a glass container for display. As long as they aren't handled much, the spines will mostly stay on.

We have an enormous collection! We are 💯 shell hoarders! We do sell some occasionally by request of our Saltaholics (TH-cam family) - link in video description to our eBay store. But we don't gather shells with the intention of selling, I would keep them ALL for myself if it weren't for our Saltaholics asking for a Salty Reflections treasure sometimes. 🤪😉🐚🤷🏼♀️🐚😵💫🥰 Other than that, we gift some to people we know or meet. 🎁🐚 We also give a lot away as channel prizes/giveaways at times. 🏆🐚

Must be hard on you pulling the wagon and holding the camera and looking for treasures? Oliver should be next to you pulling the wagon. But I guess he gets excited looking for shells. My sister was always way ahead of me too.
I get all caught up in looking at EVERYTHING! 👀🧐 I am always too slow for him when we are treasure hunting. 🏃♂️🚶🏼♀️
Is myrtle beach any good?
We haven't ever found many shells on Myrtle Beach. Check out Holden Beach, NC it's not far from Myrtle Beach. We've found tons of sea treasures there.

In most of our videos, we use a GoPro Hero 7 black. They're great reasonably priced cameras. I love the stabilization of the video we get when using it.
