    Hi, I am wondering how you connected those wind fans to the two sides of the H3? What mounting brackets did you use?

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Drilled and tapped a hole in the frame 1/4-20 thread. Removed base from fan and bolted down with a rubber washer between the frame and fan base. Once base was mounted screwed the fan assembly back into the base.

      Given that the fan is right there, is it too noisy? @@IsaacBayer

      They can be loud, yes. I have kinda tuned them out though, so they dont really bother me. Sometimes I will pop in some ear buds and then I cant hear them at all @@AmitRamchandran

    Have there been many problems with it so far? I was a member of the Facebook group approx 3 years ago but I left eventually because of so many people reporting faults. I'd love to be able to get something at this price point but I don't have the technical ability to be fixing it constantly 🙃

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mine has been fine so far. There is a small percentage of people with problems. Most of the time all you hear about is the problems though, since people are trying to get help. I would def recommend getting the sfu upgrade.

    Think of getting this for ps5 & GT7 in VR 🤔 does it feel like a loss of traction when sliding or just movement ? What is SFU ?? You're in the US or UK ?? Thanks

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Traction loss feel pretty good. Had to tweak a few settings to get it to feel right. I'm not familiar with setting this rig up on a console. I believe you need something called the magic box to do so. Again, not sure how setup and tuning is compared to PC. I would join the DOF Reality Facebook group and ask around. SFU is the newest gear boxes. It uses a screw drive system, kinda like how an actuator works. Gives smoother motion with no slop. The older gear boxes could be a bit jerky and had a dead spot you would feel when switching directions.

    Du you have restricted det range on the software or is this around the max movements?

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's pretty much full range. I might have it back off 5 or 10 percent.

  • @gerakai2119
    @gerakai2119 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you get motion sickness? I love to game for long hours. I was more so opting for a triple monitor static setup because I get motion sickness very easily. People sometimes report feelings less motion sickness in a motion rig though. Any input?

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't get motion sick. Even before I had a motion rig it wasn't much of a problem. I've been into vr for a long time now so it takes a lot to turn my stomach. You build up a tolerance after a while. Long game sessions can be tough in vr, for me it's more of a comfort thing. Gets tiring/hot having something on your face. I'm looking into the big screen beyond, as it looks pretty comfortable.

    This is an amazing setup. Does the Moza ES wheel you use feel small in your hands? Im not sure about whether to get that or the CS wheel.

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, very small. I ordered a new rim for it on Amazon that is 13 inches (the one in this video). It's nice, leather, and carbon fiber. Look up R5 wheel, you will find them. Usually around 90-125 dollars. The 11 inch wheel that comes with the R5 was disappointing. My old trust master wheel was 12 inches, and it was a noticeable difference.

    • @je.678
      @je.678 ปีที่แล้ว

      Iv'e got the Fanatec Classic that is like 13,4 inches, i feel its a bit too big for rally. Between 11-12 would be perfect imo

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@je.678 I had the thrustmaster 12" alcantara wheel, and that felt really nice. I think 11" would be good for go cart racing though.

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      it depends, and its subjective. You always know that you are in a simulator. But there are also times where it feels really good, may not be totally realistic, but I've def had some moments where I'm like holy crap that was awesome.

    hello im a new owner of the H3 with sfu motors, my question is how do you start up a game for instance msfs do you start it from simracing studios or can you start sim racing studios and then start it from desktop the game from desktop? you also dont have to calibrate the motors becuase it is the encoder motors so hopefully start the sim and it will calibrate on its own. thanks

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Srs should be open first. Then launch the game normally from steam or whatever. Srs should detect the game and display that your are playing msfs. If it does not you will need to go to the game list in srs and follow the activation instructions for that game.
      You don't need to calibrate the h3, but you will need to tune each game you play with the sliders.
      Hope that helps

    • @richardPalmisano
      @richardPalmisano ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IsaacBayer i heard there are profile presets if you have the premium subscription of SRS do you know anything about that ? and how about motion compensation i have the witmor and cable setup but dont know how to set it up. thank you very much for responding back like i said im new at this

    • @IsaacBayer
      @IsaacBayer  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richardPalmisano Yes the profiles are nice. You can use them as a baseline and then tweak them to your liking. There is also an inteli tune feature available with the premium sub that can help you auto tune the game. It gets you started. Motion compensation is nice, but I wouldnt focus to much on it until you get used the the rig and how srs works. Once you have it dialed in you can work on motion comp. I do like it, but I would hold off setting it up for now.
