This not only made the planet's compliant but extremely loyal. Why? According to Commisar Ciaphas Cain, it is also a very common misconception that the Adeptus Sororitas take any vows of celibacy to become one because they do not. He drank, gambled, and bantered with a Sister of Battle instructor almost as if she was any other Guardsman (albeit a pious one). He didn’t sleep with her himself (because Cain is loyal to his Inquisitor gf) but his Sister of Battle colleague was in a relationship with another colleague of theirs at the Scholar Progenium. The Sisters of Battle are very loyal and devout, but they are all still human and may each have their own hidden vices/desires themselves. None of them are perfect and they may all still become corrupted given enough time/effort, just like anyone else. However, their organization is usually pretty good at policing their own to make sure that doesn’t happen very often.
