I started buying comics in februari this year and have already bought over 850 dollars worth of comics mostly cuz of your recommendiations its so addicting
You need to watch The Omnibus Collectors' Network recent video about FOMO and budgeting, my friend. :P LOL JK it's your money, but seriously that video is helpful for us Minties haha.
There was a time when I would have said the TPB were my favourite format because it was the best quantity/price ratio. Now I like the single issues for collecting and the omnibus/OHCs for reading because they collect massive runs and the art is magnified. I discovered the omnibus format more than 10 years ago with UXM 1.
@@qrsx66 I actually prefer Trades to Omnibus' because they are much easier to handle but i'm also one who likes to get the most issues for my buck so i love those Image Compendiums of The Walking Dead and Invincible. I decided i'd collect singles of Star Wars and Bounty Hunters,Got the first two of each then Covid hit and my LCS never got the following 3 plus issues. so i just got the first two trades of the new Star Wars.
This was a very good and helpful video, Omar. You know, for the longest time I've heard you say, and others, about the "eye" of the book and for some reason, instead of thinking of an eye, I understood it was an "I", and I couldn't see where the hell was that "I" everyone was talking about. Anyway, it was until recently that I finally saw the true "eye" of an omnibus haha, it was funny.

Omar this vid is fundamental for collectors starting out like me. I've been in the omni game for about a year now and I owe most, if not all, my buys and preorders down to this channel. This video could not have come at a better time! I’ve been collecting individual issues for years and finally decided to buy my first omni when I heard that there was one collecting the entire Roger Stern Spider-Man run. The only problem is that I have no idea what I’m doing or what any of the terminology is at it relates to the omnibuses, collected additions, and stuff like that. This video really helped with that so thank you.

One thing I wish I had known when I stated collecting it to make sure your books aren't in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. It can cause discoloration of the cover and yellowing of the pages.
Because both of my omnishelves are besides a window I have a piece of cardboard blocking the sunlight from hitting each level of the bookshelf. looks weird as hell but hey, my books are protected

How do Library Editions fit into the collected edition hierarchy?? Are these essentially Oversized Hardcovers? My Library Editions of Black Hammer and Hellboy are huge but I don’t think they have as much content as an Omnibus or Absolute Edition
I believe he stated in a prior video they wanted to focus on the softcover omnibus format for now. When he had Cullen Bunn interview had a feeling after the omnibus line is done Dark Horse may consider doing them again. I own just library Edition vol 1 but it's such a great story I'm willing to wait and enjoy the omnibus line till we see a reprint. So there you go
Yo, I was gonna pick up that Claremont/Lee Omnis vol 1 and 2 but 2 is sold out everywhere today! Any idea if this volume is still in print or not? Do I have to just wait a little and be able to pick it up?
Cheap Graphic Novels still has the DM Variant of vol 1 available but yeah may have to Amazon that one for vol 2 and 1 if you weren't looking into the DM cover.
I think for the Omnibus presentation you should have picked some Silver Age books, where the different covers are the most obvious and significant, one being a cover from one of the issues in the book or the Standard Edition covers which are messed up new arts in my opinion. :) I hate the Out of Print expression..... to me out of print means, a book just came out of print, so it is available. Books which cannot be found anymore, now these are out of stock. Straight forward no?

How do Library Editions fit into the collected edition hierarchy?? Are these essentially Oversized Hardcovers? My Library Editions of Black Hammer and Hellboy are huge but I don’t think they have as much content as an Omnibus or Absolute Edition
Thanks!
Will Harrow County Library Edition 2 be reprinted someday?
I believe he stated in a prior video they wanted to focus on the softcover omnibus format for now. When he had Cullen Bunn interview had a feeling after the omnibus line is done Dark Horse may consider doing them again. I own just library Edition vol 1 but it's such a great story I'm willing to wait and enjoy the omnibus line till we see a reprint. So there you go
I think all are coming back. Just heard back from DH. :) After asking for months.
@@NearMintCondition That is awesome. Let us know that is definite preorder material.
Hi, is it normal for parts of the brown cupboard paper material beneath the ribbon spine to come off?
Hey Mr Omar I was watching your video that you've done on every DC event and I've noticed you missed one and it was called DC's bloodlines
So when they do a restock does the printer not print more books or are they already printed and just sitting in a warehouse to send out as a restock?
Waiting for the remaining stock from the printer, if they haven't moved on.
i still have a question when am i going to get my shadowline omnibus?
Yo, I was gonna pick up that Claremont/Lee
Omnis vol 1 and 2 but 2 is sold out everywhere today!
I gave my extra copies away already. So I couldn't show the covers from the Silver Age.
