Nice Rig your running! I think vids like this get all of us fired up to get our boats out on the water, I running a Donzi Black Hawk with a blown 502 built pretty well and running open headers after seeing this I need to get it on the water!! Be safe!

Played the Golf Course a lot many years ago, there were a bunch of hot boats on it when it had water in the River.

Just like a Harley. Turns gas into noise without the side effects of power or speed....

You've OBVIOUSLY never had a ride in a badass Flatty or Hydro in your life and your ignorant comment is proof of it.

@@carolmarable6825 Flat bottom WITH a Vdrive. Not some stooopid inefficient vacuum thingy. Jet drive is literally the slowest propulsion method for a boat. It's called physics you Feltcher....

@@TriptoCo Yes I agree douche-nozzle, jet drives are a waste of horsepower. And those of us who've actually owned drag boats know that when we refer to them as Flattys and Hydros we are talking about v-drives.

@@carolmarable6825 Yeah...ah.... I'm an idiot bud. My commnt(s) were meant to be pro Vdrive, or even in IO drive over the vacuum thingamabob..

@@TriptoCo Fair enough. My apologies then of course. I'm just trying to figure out where there was any mention of a jet drive with regards to this boat. I thought you were referring to this boat in particular which is obviously a v-drive. I'm definitely a v-drive man myself. I've owned 2 Sangers and a Hallett. I even owned a Eliminator jet bubble deck that I bought new in 1977 that was pretty fast for a jet. Just a real smooth riding family/ski boat. Anyway, once again, my apologies for misinterpreting your comment.

At 4:59 we put our flat bottom on a wicked sand bar just right of the tree on the right. My dad was pulling me late in summer 1983 or so. He managed to get about 25' in about 3" of water and soft sand . How'd we get it off ? Drove it of course, we almost lost the shaft the coupling held on by a 1/4 inch .
Had to float back took like 2 hours
    Fun times on the river

Wish my hydro would crank over like that, it sounds like an outboard engine. Either it has no compression or it's not a healthy motor.
