This year I have a couple weeks Finland/Scandinavia adventure for the Northern lights; then South America in December to enjoy the Andes along with the beautiful countries there. Maybe the 2020 for a May trip throughout all of Canada/Alaska again :)
Wow what a nice city! I'm in Deadmonton and would love to retire near the Oceon in a nice historic place. I checked the crime stats and they are much much less than Edmonton. What are rents like?
It's not nice, but compared to Edmonton, I suppose so; it's all relative; that being said, Saint John is one of the least sought after places for Canadians to live for a reason. You might feel at home here with stench of the oil refinery and the pulp mill.
If you have already enjoyed your state through Vancouver - I would drive to the Rockies and drive north through Utah, Montana on the west side to Jasper. Turn east and find things you like on the way. If no, then drive north through SF, and the Redwoods to Vancouver, then go east through the northern Rockies and glacier areas. Either way, stop enough to talk with people in small towns and enjoy good food.On the return trip if spring, go down the Appalachians starting with Maine. Turn west when you decide to see something you want. I would take the backroads through southern Colorado into southern Utah for some breathtaking views/canyons...caution a couple mountain roads you go down change to 25 MPH with very little notice. Stop at streams for a sandwich and stretch your legs if you can.I prefer to go through Death Valley and Joshua Tree National forest; however, if you have enjoyed this...find something you want to see on the way home :)
Two cases of Moosehead or your beer of choice is what I'm offering for a drone or water to land shot of Duck Pond Beach. I've started a painting but would like to be more accurate and not just guess by memory and photo's.
Saint john has the same appeal as stepping in a pile of cold dog sht w no socks coupled w the constant paranoia that you're house is gunna get broke Into. It's a wonderful spot to raise kids.
I couldn't agree with you more. By chance are you a slam poet? That first sentence is good. That ugly view of the mill tops it off. I have lived in that city, worked in that city, coughed in that city, and now just visit it once in a while out of duty, and still it is beyond me why anyone finds this place appealing. Anyone I know who has stayed, eventually all moved to Quispamsis. If you have a "nice" car, it's likely to get keyed, broken into and eventually rust. I always get a kick out of folk that turn heads seeing a a car, like a corvette or a Mercedes; I can only imagine the what they would do seeing a Rolls, Bentley, or Austin Martin let alone a Koenigsegg.
Amazing
Thank you 🤠

Someday imma take a road trip from Southern California to St John... one corner of North America to the other.
May I recommend one way there and another way back - also check weather prior to choosing which :) You will totally enjoy...
@@JamesBeBop Yes please do!
I'm literally here planning the same thing.
You will truly enjoy it if you give enough time and plan for 30% more money than you expect :)
