I love your desk mat! I was having trouble deciding between these two kindles, but I think you've pushed me towards the paperwhite. The idea of having a small package is appealing to me! I've heard alot of hype on lipsticks and camera clicks! That will be my first book I'll buy on my new Kindle. ❤️
Great video! It's a hard choice to make, I think I will watch the video a couple of times so I can make a really informed choice. Thanks for posting the purchasing link.
@@TheFairytaleLifestyle cunningly (if that's a word)....after using the Scribe for quite a while, then used an Apple Pencil....and automatically started to flip the Apple Pencil around, and caught myself.
I have both the Kindle scribe and the Paperwhite. I use my kindle scribe more than I use my Paperwhite. It's essentially just collecting dust at this point cause I feel like the Kindle scribe fits my needs more.
I feel like if you're a scribe person, it can really be everything you need. Glad to hear it's serving you well! Perhaps re-gifting your paperwhite could be an option.
@@TheFairytaleLifestyle my little sister has never owned a Kindle before. She's gonna be excited when I give her mine. She can read all her books on it without having to use her phone anymore
@shadedsoul890 that's lovely! You'll also have to introduce her to the world of cases and stickers because I'm sure she'll love how customizable they are
This is wonderful! I’m definitely getting one. As long as I can make the pages sepia or something close to that I’m all over it. I have a paper white but want something different.
hmm went with the paper white the pen up charge for premium, eventually it’ll wear and id love to write in the book, thanks! 10” sceen is tempting tho but id prob fit more a tablet for my budget 😅
I had a paper white and I absolutely loved reading on it. My battery finally expired and I gave it to my boss and he put a battery in it. I bought a Scribe. I really like being able to take notes, but for some reason, the reading isn’t as enjoyable for me. I have a very poor eye prescription so I thought the larger Scribe would be better. I can’t get the settings as nice as I had my paper white. I’m trying to decide if I want to purchase another Paperwhite.
How interesting, I would have assumed the larger screen would have helped! I wonder what that could be. I'm assuming you tried the different fonts? Thanks for lending your experience!
Oh my gosh, the print in the back of your kindle case is so cute! Where did you get it from? I've had a kindle paperwhite for years now, so my case is incredibly old.....
It's a postcard sized print from gdbee.store/ ! Always love her stuff. Perhaps it's time to get a new case and jazz it up! Mine is a sparkly clear one that I have linked in my storefront in the description if you're interested in checking it out
It's actually just the regular paperwhite! If I'm remembering correctly, the signature edition has options for up to 32GB of memory (up from 16GB), wireless charging, an automatically adjusting front light. Oh, and thank you! I'm British. Born and raised there, but moved around a lot so my accent picked up its one little quirks along the way :)
Does anyone know if kindles are cheaper on prime day or cyber monday? I kinda wanna wait for later this year but if they are cheaper this time of year, I should take advantage of that.
Great question! It really depends on how Amazon is feeling unfortunately so the discounts vary. I was watching kindle prices for a few years while I was debating about getting my own and I found that the steepest discounts are usually for Amazon's specific Prime days which they have a few of per year. They also do random special offers throughout the year too. There is a kindle scribe specific reddit as well that discusses price trends, so you could also check that out to get a better idea! I hope that helps :)
I traded-in a DX when I got my Scribe...and was planning on selling my Paperwhite privately....But, ended up keeping it (lives on my bedside table now). It's the perfect combo of Large Scale Ereader/Notetaker, for sitting still and using....And the compact reader for on-the-go, or reading while laying down.
I've been thinking about this too! Tbh...I thought about getting it to try but the trade in rate from last year's scribe was a slap in the face in my opinion. I'm planning on selling my kindles and going for a color competitor.
@TheFairytaleLifestyle you rebel!!!! Keep the paperwhite though, it's the best ereader for just lying bed or on the settee in the winter. Paperwhite will never be beaten for pure reading x
Kobo is also a good alternative too and will be my next upgrade! I was hesitant about kindle, but I needed a few integrations that couldn't be helped until Kobo made updates and had developed their software a bit more. I actually tried Boox as well and had a terrible experience so kindle it is for now. I also only primarily purchase books outside of Amazon and everything else comes from libby in support of my local library. There are definitely options!
Ahh, I've heard amazing things so far! This is exactly what I was waiting for from Kobo so I've been excitingly listening to reviews to see how it goes. Go put in a good word for me, maybe they'll send me one to try. 😆 Thanks for sharing your experience!

The good thing about using the eraser end of the pen, is that it reduces the wear on the pen tip.
This is such a good point and would probably help my poor worn down nib 🤣 My thoughts just go so fast, flipping is such a micro hassle.
This is a compromise I've accepted and I just stock up on nibs.
@@TheFairytaleLifestyle cunningly (if that's a word)....after using the Scribe for quite a while, then used an Apple Pencil....and automatically started to flip the Apple Pencil around, and caught myself.
That would also explain why using the shortcut button to erase is so native to me, I have a similar set up with my apple pencil!
