i was thinking bless their hearts. who cares about your makeup or if your glasses make you look sexy or match your shoes, mine aid me to see, and without them i might as well sit down and not move, because i cant see much without them. and sadly, i see all around me friends getting lasic surgery to improve their eyesight but my iinsurance wont pay for mine. and im sure soon i will be determined legally blind.

Charlotte Cox go to zenni to get spares! I would never have that many, but it's a great site to get back up glasses. You can even get them with a tint so you have prescription sunglasses. Super inexpensive.

Being impaired in either of these 2 senses are a danger in everyday life. Just take crossing the road. I 'm an optician and I must say the glasses they picked were terrible. They are way to big for them.
When you have prescription glasses you are pretty much stuck with the one pair, so coordinating it with your outfit goes straight out the window. But I love my glasses so, I'm pretty okay with some of the downfalls of glasses such as them getting dirty easily, fogging up and being easily misplaced...glasses FTW!

Glasses only make your eyes look smaller if you're farsighted. I'm nearsighted, but not too much, so my eye size is basically uneffected.

Glasses aren't that easy to lose if you wear them all day and take them off for bed. You can't just wear them for a day and make a decision about them, it took me a couple years to accept glasses and now I don't mind them at all. Mine are big framed 1980's style in opaque pink and I get a lot of compliments on them. They don't clash with any of my outfits. I wear contacts most of the time because it rains a lot where I live and it's hard to keep glasses dry. Sometimes my eyes are too tired for contacts, though.

Meghan Ushman the only time i struggle to find my glasses is when I forget where I put them or they fall and since I can only see clearly within like 2 feet in front of me without them it makes distinguishing between my hardwood floor and the brown frames almost impossible. I clean them regularly with a micro fiber cloth and glasses cleaner (has one in my lapop bag and on my desk at home)
Here where I live, a pair of glasses will easily run you $500+ USD with prescription lenses, so no - ...we don't have 10 pairs to "coordinate" them with outfits. (Especially not when your eyesight changes enough between checkups (which is 2-3 years apart) due to astigmatism that you need *new* prescription put in.)

I'm a veteran glasses wearer, and these girls are all wearing frames that are too large for them. A good fit and the right size lens makes all the world of a difference. Also if those are non-prescription like sample plastic lenses, then of course they will get much dirtier than real prescription lenses, which are much clearer.

i went with oversized lenses because i have absolutely no peripheral vision, and too-large lenses mildly helps with that. i just need to get the cheap plastic replaced with poly-carbon. alas, the woes of needing corrective eye wear when abysmally poor!

I hate to be *that* person, but I think it's wildly unfair that people who have perfect vision can wear glasses as an accessory. I've been wearing glasses since I was 6 or 7 years old and I'm now 20. Glasses have *always* been an annoyance, not an accessory. Also, *no one* in the *right mind* would accessorize their prescription glasses with their outfits. Prescription glasses are expensive and insurance barely covers the cost.

I personally don't match my glasses with my outfits (because I have one pair), but I have this friend who slightly needs glasses and got a pair of CLEAR framed glasses, and one day she didn't wear them. I asked her why and she said, "I didn't wear them because they didn't go with my outfit." Then she spent the rest of the day complaining about how she couldn't see the Smart-board in class.
Eventually, you won't be able to feel them if you wear them everyday. You'll wake up and forget to put on your glasses then ask yourself why you tripped over everything on the way to the bathroom.

I understand that they are a pain in the butt to you because you wear them everyday but I don't see how it would upset you, because other people like the way it looks or the way it frames their face just because you don't like glasses doesn't mean other people can't. I feel like I've commented this everywhere here and people are going to think I'm affiliated with them (I'm not), but Zenni Optical is seriously amazing. My glasses-needing husband has been ordering his glasses from them for at least the last 5 years and has been really happy with them. And they cost a fraction of what "brand name" glasses cost (I don't think my husband has ever paid more than $20 for a pair there, even sunglasses) at one of those mall vision stores and they ship fast!

No you don't match your glasses with your outfit. They're expensive. I have to have the same pair for 2 1/2 years for insurance to help pay for a new pair. So you pick a black simple frame that is hopefully durable. You don't loose them or break them because they cost 250 just for frames. Not lenses. Without them I am completely illiterate, can't see a foot in front of me, and get terrible headaches. I hate seeing people who wear glasses for "style". I was actually shook when I walked into Walmart one day and saw some decent frames for $18 bucks. I was amazed. It's a good cheap option for those who really cannot afford most frames! Also 2 for 1 sales can be amazing, some places do have sales like that.
But I definitely I agree with you! I also cant see a foot in front of my face without mine, and the lenses are the worst part. You have to not only pay for the lenses to be your prescription, but when you have a high prescription you have to pay even MORE to get them thinned out so they aren't 2 inches thick.

ZenyxYT I've actually had some from Walmart before, that's why my family used to buy them. Won't ever go back though, they used to break and we replaced them often. My current place gives me a proper warranty on them. 🤷🏼♀️ I was able to get a brand new frame for no cost when the colour on mine started coming off. When the Walmart ones completely broke, they said tough luck you have to buy new ones.
ZenyxYT I only suggest them if you really can't afford anything else. Then they're a good option. Otherwise, stick to better stores. You get what you pay for.

Glasses aren't just an accessory. They are tools that help people with bad vision. I know this video wasn't intended to offend people with glasses, but I have glasses so it did offend me. Also, you can't color coordinate your glasses to your outfit. You have one pair, and you just have to go with it, or just wear contacts. Am I right?

This video makes me really annoyed as a person who wears glasses because it's something that we can't change we were born or have grown a disability to where we cannot see as well as a person with 20/20 vision and this is video is trying to say it's a fashion statement or something that we try to coordinate our outfits to and most people only have one pair of glasses. I'm okay if you wear them as an accessory from time to time but people with bad eye sight don't get a choice to wear them unless they want to accidentally run into a wall. Despite all of this I still have to commend these people because they get to see the struggles that we live with like the fog or the smudges that build up on hour glasses literally two minutes after we just cleaned them. And one more thing what's the big deal about "women" wearing them for a day what is the difference between a man and a women wearing glasses. Bad eyesight affects men too. Glasses are medically necessary in some cases, so people using my disability to accessorise, bothers me. Also, I do not have insurance and even in the land of 'free' healthcare, a pair of glasses can easily run $800 due to my prescription. So, no I do not coordinate them with my outfit. Of course they get dirty. Not sure what they expected. The complaint about having too much going on, on her face was such a privileged and ignorant complaint. It must be nice to choose that. I can't.
I don't have several (purple and silver fits to most of my outfits) , mine was 500 € however my pair would even allow to exchange the nose bar and the temples/earpieces for like 30 €. The brand is called "switch it"

This is stupid. They made a video how people struggle with glasses, especially others wear it just because their cute. Their for necessities, not style. Are they out of their mind? They think they're gonna look good in 'cute' glasses, but smart people will be like 'Hey, those are for short-sighted people! What were you thinking? Are you trying to look smarter?".

You're either born with it due to genetics (my friend wears glasses) or you're not taking good care of your eyes, therefore, you began to wear glasses for good. My mom never let me try them on, not even 1 sec because it's bad for my eyes when I already had perfect eye sights.
Also those glasses are too big for their head shape, so it look terrible on them btw.
