- Look How Lucky I Got! Train Approaching With Horn Blowing around curve and look what I see about 9:00. Includes train station update, CSX train with caboose and Norfolk Southern trains in Hamilton, Ohio. CSX auto racks train that empties the auto racks yard. Tanker train crossing bridge at the interchange for CSX and Norfolk Southern.
Yes, I got lucky to catch the train race between a CSX train with a caboose and a Norfolk Southern intermodal train. All of the trains in this video are seen on CSX tracks. The Norfolk Southern line from Hamilton to Crescentville, Ohio had a huge maintenance of way project taking place. See my video of the maintenance of way parade.
Look how different the wye looks without the old train station. We see a train going around the wye at the vacant lot where the station used to stand. We also see the new location for the station and the progress of putting it back together and restoring it.

You are both lucky and good at what you do. Getting both trains visible at the same time was awesome. The way you work your house pets in at the end is pure genius. All of the other trains you had in this video shows how America's heartland keeps the economy moving. As my grandson says "good job".

Double train, AND one had a caboose! That's like winning the railfan lottery there, sir. 😂
That auto rack train comes up through Indiana into western Cincinnati and through Queensgate yard every day.
There are two Ford plants in Louisville and a GM plant in Bowling Green, Ky. The auto rack trains that don't pass through LaGrange and DeCoursey take the LIRC to Seymour and then west to Queensgate.

Love how you staged the the empty centerbeam cars on the CSX train so we could see through to the NS lash-up. And a transfer caboose was a nice flourish. Well done!

I lived in Hamilton on 747 in Port Union. We had to go into downtown Hamilton to get our Marriage license. Fun fact about Hamilton, they made a law that its official name had to have an exclamation point after it. Hamilton! Lol. I can't even explain why I enjoy watching the trains but I do so thanks!

I agree. RR Video of the Year‼️🚂 If you live to 100 you’ll never top that catch. Side by side, and the lead train has 4-5 cars of frames… see through. The train Gods wanted to reward you for your love and effort at railfanning! Put that in a 30 second short and hit a million. That was just AWESOME! I watched it 3-4 times when it came out, and I just watched it 3 more. I took a screen shot of the 2 side by side and it’s the key picture on my train folder. Greatest train memory going. Thanks‼️🇺🇸🍀

Nice catches! That area does look different without the station in that particular spot. At least it's still available to look at nearby. I enjoy seeing that CSX local working with a caboose! great video!
I sure am glad they added that caboose. A couple of other CSX jobs that had cabooses stopped using them. The one along the Ohio River hasn't had the caboose in over a year

As a Brit it always supprises me the amount of lineside access you have, over here nearly all trackside is fenced off. It's a £1,000 fine for trespass trackside.
At 8:46 you pointed your camera at the signals and they indicated 2 trains were coming from the same direction. The right top signal was an approach yellow and the left middle signal was green. Could not see what the indication was on the top signal. Great video, caboose too.
That was a cool catch two trains coming in at once I was like wait what!!!😮👍

Thanks to you for recording the moving of the train station and those responsible for the restoration of a piece of history (most, like ,in Desler, are torn down never to be seen again). I miss videotaping trains around Hamilton since grad school between 2018 and 2020.
Sometimes u need a little luck when railfanning and you got it there with a train race, and one with a caboose, sweet. And thanks for the update on the train station, happy to see it’s being preserved. Good work JT.👍🏼
Wow Jawtooth what a super cool video. Lots of trains, but those two coming through cures like they were in a race. And the one on the inside main had a caboose on the rear. That was neat! And that long train of auto racks. Good on!👍❤️

I should have known there were two when they called out a clear signal on Track 1. The first train I saw with the caboose was on Track 2 so when they called out the signal on Track 1 I should have known there was another train but I had a brain malfunction. lol

Hello JT. Hamilton is a great place to watch trains. Two railroads, locals and long through trains. A neat railroad station. And - a handy McDonalds for those long breaks between the action. What more could you want? Oh, another thing. Don't go buying any Lotto tickets for a few weeks. You used up all your luck with those two trains.
