Good Morning 🤗 I agree, I love Puzzle yarn. I have a blanket made out of it in my bed that I use year round. Lying under it as I’m watching this video 🥰
It is not just the yarn it is the stitch that you do I’m doing a blanket in Tunisian crochet and it is thick and I’m using a 4weight and I’ve done a waffle pattern blanket with a 4 weight
Jennifer and all of those who watch your videos, thank you all for sharing your yarn knowledge and choices. It is so helpful! Everyday I am rushing home from work to spend time with one of my “bestie you tubers” as I watch your videos. It brings me such joy
I’m just learning to crochet and I’m so happy you mentioned donating blankets! I didn’t even think of this. I can tell this is something I’m really gonna enjoy so it’s nice to know that I can donate some of the things I make. This actually motivates me even more 💕
I made a blanket for my bed from Premier Puzzle. I love it! I'm making scarves for Veterans for Christmas gifts this year out of the Premier Just Yarn Value. They are turning out great.
Knit vs. Crochet vs. Tunisian and the chosen stitch pattern makes a very big difference on how much yarn you will need. Sales are a great way to get softer yarn at good price point. Also cotton or bamboo blends are a great type of yarn that tick all the boxes but are super comfy. When on clearance.
Jennifer introduced me to Premier Puzzle yarn (bulky #5 wt) and I used it to make my hubby a blanket ("Go Fish" color). Premier Puzzle makes a gorgeous blanket. I found that the density of the blanket fabric greatly varies depending on the stitches used. Because I wanted a denser, warmer blanket, I used the simple stitch pattern of SC/DC/SC/DC... The result is a soft, thick, spongey, cushy blanket fabric). However, if I wanted a lighter weight blanket that is also warm, I would choose a lighter weight yarn that has a bit of wool, such as Premier Coffee Shop. Thanks, Jen! 🤩
I love your yarn channel you’re such a pleasure to watch and very helpful.❤ It’s okay to forget things I do it all the time sweetheart! Us adults have so much adult’ing going on we get a bit shuffled. 🤗
Thank you for these suggestions!! I am using Hobby Lobby I love this yarn in multiple varigated colors for my temperature blanket. It's not too bulky and is just warm enough. I just bought some Red Heart Roll with it melange and Caron Macchiato, so looking forward to seeing how they work out. I would like to try some Premier Puzzle cotton and Lion Brand Ferris Wheel for some. I love the idea of blankets lol. We won't talk about the big twist stash with assigned blanket patterns...
Jennifer, this is a really helpful and informative video. I've been crocheting blankets for a very long time and I still learned some good tips from you!
Afternoon jen I could listen to your voice all day it is so easy to hear what you are saying. Question how big would you knit a dog blanket I make them for a pet rescue and they want some knitted ones but not sure what size. Thanks
I do l love the puzzle yarn for warm blankets and I also like premiers anti pilling yarn for baby blankets and lighter weight blankets. Thankyou for your opinions and a great video.
All three of my cats absolutely love crochet. To the point that it's a little annoying lol. I think it's a texture thing, they love making biscuits on my wips.
Very informative. Thank you for all the information. This is just a suggestion for a future video. Maybe the different stitches you can make on a blanket.🎉👏
Jen, I first discovered Premier Puzzle yarn at Walmart (when my Walmart actually had yarn) and love it. I made two blankets using it and the second one my grandson talked me into keeping. Love the puzzle yarn because it is thinner 5 weight yarn and love the colors. Not a big fan of thick yarn. I mainly use 4 weight yarns for blankets, but have made several with Mandala yarn and they came out great.
I loved using pound of love for blankets. Actually I call this pound of hell because of all the tangled yarn barf, however I can get a whole blanket out of it without having to change skeins and it washes up nice and soft.
I love your hair. I enjoyed hearing about your sensory issues with certain yarns. I’m not too sensitive, but everybody’s different. Knitted knockers has a yarn list on their website, for those interested in knitting them. I’ve knit mostly baby blankets for others. The Caron cotton/ acrylic blend makes a really nice baby blanket.
Jennifer, thank you so much for this information. I have neuropathy, and my skin burns so bad sometimes that I can't stand anything against it. I have never tried the Ice Cream yarns or the anti-pill yarns, but I will definitely check those out. I really like some of the chenille yarns, and Bernat velvet is nice, but it can't really be washed in the machine and stay nice. Plus, the velvet would be expensive to make... Thanks again!

Always love when you raise awareness to sensory stuff and neurodivergence. I officially got my ADHD diagnosis the other day- met a fantastic psychiatric NP who was so understanding of my autism and before even doing the adhd evaluation was like “I know just from the way you speak and the flow of conversation, if you’re somehow negative for adhd I’d be shocked.” 😂 I’m now impatiently waiting for a Ritalin script but so freaking excited to start because my “AuDHD” I’m realizing has always been probably my most difficult disability most of the time and after the stuff I’ve been through in the last two years the adhd has been out of control. You’ve seen my long rambling replies. I never did fully finish my dang shirt I promised to email you a photo of. I have six or maybe actually 8 projects in some state of partially done just surrounding me in bed right now. I’m telling you the parts I can make a joke about but omfg I truly never realized adhd could be this bad. I know it’s what’s kept me stuck and struggling so much. So I’m really hoping treatment helps. Sucks I haven’t for the life of me been able to find a single therapist who is familiar with adhd and autism. Not who takes Medicare which is flipping insulting and ridiculous since while autism and adhd aren’t the reason I got on disability and the Medicare to begin with, obviously so many disabled folks are neurodivergent and too poor to otherwise afford therapy. It’s heartbreaking all around and played a role in all the crap in my life how much (adult- pediatric hospitals are great) hospitals and doctors tend to not know flip all about neurodivergence either. Good morning you have given us a lot of great information and I enjoyed it so much even though I rarely make blankets. I don't have the patience for them. LOL
As soon as I heard you say the 3rd soda wasn't helping I wanted to comment. The same reason caffeine calms down Little Man might be why the caffeine it wasn't helping you. I used to (* pre-menopause LoL ) drink a whole pot of coffee a day - even up to the minute before my head hit the pillow, and never lose a wink of sleep. Always LOVE your videos! Thank You ❤
I feel like if your making it for a charity and wanna go the cheaper route go for the premier yarn that you can get at dollar tree but get it on the actual premier website in the bigger skein. I've made a beautiful baby blankets for both of my kids that they loved in the dollar tree yarn. And that calendar blanket would be perfect for juju because of the graduation month.
Hello! I'm really loving my Bradley Afghan with Hue & Me yarn by Lionbrand, washes and dries with no pills, super quick to work up, got yarn on sale! Currently making a Lunar Crossings throw with Colorama Halo, bulky weight so it's fast, super soft, and machine wash/dry per label. Happy day, and happy stitching! 😊
I love making blankets. I'm knitting a blanket for my mom, and I allowed her to pick out the yarn and the color she wanted. Since the blanket is for my mom, the price of the yarn was not a problem for me. My problem is that I have to switch between projects, and her blanket is taking forever. Did you ever do a review on the Bloom yarn? Found your review! Thank you for this wonderful and informative video. I'll be trying the puzzle yarn for my next blanket.
I am using the anniversary cakes to make a blankie. So excited to see how it turns out. ❤ I’ll have to try puzzle yarns, never tried them. I hope you are doing well! 😘
One of the other yarns from Lion Brand that I love for blankets is Pound of Love. It is heavy worsted, maybe not as soft as Premier's Just Yarn big ball, but when washed and dried with fabric softener, it's unbeatable, in my opinion. It wears almost as long as Red Heart.
Love your hair! When talking about yarn today, you were talking about sensitivity. I got a hold of a skein of yarn that had mohair in it. I ended up taking Benadryl sparkle blanket.😂😂😂
Very good blanket info today. I’m using Puzzle yarn, I found on Amazon for less than $6 a skein, making myself a new squishy winter throw. I love how the colors are working out. I don’t know if there is a tutorial on Carrie Penny’s channel, but she has recently shown a blanket made with the panels from her knitting machine. 💕
I love the blanket made out of the Premier yarn, that is beautiful!! My sister has multiple sclerosis and has problems with her skin and I made her a scarf last year out of the Premier yarn and she absolutely loves it and has had no problem.
That was fun! Thank you! I was thinking of doing a Boggy Creek blanket if I have enough time and if not I will hold on to it when I finish it and donate it to them next year. I don't usually do anything bigger thank small baby blankets for strollers or car seats. So this was a good vlog for me Jen because you mentioned a lot of yarns I would not have picked for blankets. Hope you are having a wonderful day, hugs for everyone.

Hey Jennifer 😊???? Could you possibly do a tutorial on how you sew up the panels from knitting machine to make blankets? Since it’s a knitted up project am wondering how you attach them especially if someone doesn’t know how to actually knit 😜 Would so appreciate it so much..🙏🏻 Cause I have a addi but still haven’t used it yet but was thinking once I do I could do blankets like you did for some charity donations 🥰
I made a blanket with a 60 cotton/40 acrylic 3 weight yarn in corner to corner stitch. I thought it would be warm from the acrylic and soft from the cotton. This thing weighs 5,000 pounds and doesn't keep you warm at all. You freeze under it, lol. It holds up great in the washer and dryer but we don't like it. Should I try a 100% acrylic?
I LOVE Premier Puzzle yarn! I've used a fair amount of the premier yarns at Dollar Tree and i always like them!! I've made baby blankets from the premier parfait (chenille), before I knew that it would worm ☹️
Thank you for all your information, do you have a pattern or tutorial for the granny square red, white and blue blanket made with the premier just yarn and basic. Really like that blanket
Have a great day! I am hoping to order yarn for a baby blanket this afternoon. Have a lapghan I am making for step mom and cowel. I have projects I want to make for the adult kids, a Amigurumi for grandkids, a baby to make hats and a blanket for….I need to lick it in serious gear!!!
I have a blanket in a whip bag I’ve been working on for myself slowly that I’m working up with style-craft DK yarn. It will get finished eventually lol. I do plan on a blanket for my daughter from the latte cakes because of her texture issues.
Good Day Jen! Hope your well.. Months ago I started following a pattern/tutorial for a duster you made! I reached far with the project but ran out of the grey yarn I was using! I live in Jamaica and they do not have an abundance of yarn like the USA! Today I went there as the advertised they are having a sale, so I found my grey yarn! Not sure if it's the duster you have on in this picture, I reached quite a way on the one I started and do not want to pull it out and start over! Can you help please 🙏 😊😅🎉😊😅😮😢🎉😂❤
Jennifer, thank you for supporting the Premier Yarn Brand in this video!!! We sincerely appreciate you featuring our yarns! Your work is beautiful!!

Sucks I haven’t for the life of me been able to find a single therapist who is familiar with adhd and autism.
Good morning Jen 😊
Good morning!
My kiddo and I cut the tags out of our shirts. We have sensory issues!
I have projects I want to make for the adult kids, a
Amigurumi for grandkids, a baby to make hats and a blanket for….I need to lick it in serious gear!!!
Yikes couldn't find the link to the mitered blanket...❤❤❤
Hi Jen 😊 great video and all very good points to consider ❤

I've done chemo caps for years. They are pretty strict with what yatns we use. I'm picky because of my skin issues too!
