I’m broke
honest question about Nord VPN, how fast are its connections? I tried 1 of the competitors a year or two back but found that the connection speeds were maxed at about 250 meg. I have gig internet and using any of the VPN connections basically had me at 1/2 my normal download speeds if not less. I don't need full gig but loosing 1/2 of my paid for bandwidth for a VPN is a deal breaker.
im all for advertising VPNs but you honestly need to be careful talking about geo restrictions and stuff because the geo unlocking of stores is outright illegal period. you literally circumventing potential tax brackets by doing so, and in the case of WT they actually specifically dont allow you playing WT on a VPN period. keep the ads going but do be mindful what your advertising in this specific case as its illegal

Hey Phly last f105 episode you asked how they bombed their targets, I was talking to a f105 pilot who flew during Vietnam and he said they used a radar tower on top of a hill and they came into the radar and were able to drop their ordinance

@@PhlyDaily Not sure if this it what he means but if your plane has a radio direction finder you can take the bearing of two known radio towers, draw a line on your map through the towers that matches your bearing from each one, and where the lines cross is where you are. I do this all the time in DCS with the F-5E and MiG-19.
It wouldn't be difficult back then to make a machine that listens to preset frequencies with an RDF and waits until the bearings match up with a preset target location, then triggers a release.
I wanna say I've heard of something like this being used for toss bombing nukes in bad weather but I could be wrong.

If they did the THUD flight model any justice - you should (key word "should") be able to outrun damn near anything of your era on the deck.
That thing was slick as snot and an absolute MONSTER at treetop level with the balls to the wall.
About the only thing that should be able to catch you on the deck is a F104 with wingtip sidewinders only.
F111 ???
The F-111 could outmaneuver the Thud but not catch it. Assuming both are clean. Of course the Thud would run out of go juice waaaay faster.
Thankfully this seems to be true in my experience. You can easily speed away from Migs (unless you happen to face a Flogger). Only issue I have is that the F-105 doesn't get flares, only chaff.

Using the Proxy missiles to fire into no-vis is actually so smart. The smoke first and then the Weasil in the shrubs. Very quick thinking.

i approve this load out, su-122 t-50 and zis 30 complement each other very nicely. bonus points if you throw in the low tier pe-8 (db-3b with 1000kg bomb)

Phly, have you ever tried warming your engine for like 10~ seconds before taking off?
F-105 is just a more maneuverable but much heavier F-104 that can carry bombs. It's like a mini F-4. Probably my favorite aircraft in War Thunder besides F-5E (ignoring repair cost).
This thing seems fantastic and maybe a little under br. I’d be grinding it rn but I have to get all the way from the b29 so i probably won’t have it until it’s nerfed a little.
I remember going to Aviation Challenge back when I was little and my CO was a chief pilot. He had a ton of awesome stories!

Best ground strike loadout is either 3 3000lbs or 11 1000lbs bombs becs by the time u drop the last of the 1000's you'll probably be dead. Also i always wait till the very last second to take off so i dont have to climb at like 30 ⁰
Do harrier av8 with tiny full tiny tim loadout in ground rb and shoot a targets vtol! 16 rockets = 16 potential kills and remember, u got flares and chaff. And if you want you can have both a and c in battle

Dammit! They still haven’t fixed the air brake petals! When the Thud is in A/B those four petals should be slightly separated to allow additional bypass air flow. It helps to cool the burner can and probably prevents the petals from melting as well.
I won’t even go into the utterly preposterous weapons load. I had my heart attacks before Halloween and I don’t want more for New Year’s.
you know the lift is from the wing right?, putting bombs on the wing means less stress than putting them on the body, even on the wing tip, you transfer stress from the bottom/top tension/compression to compression/tension, so it ain't too bad i don't think.
