    What if you are in the program and you pay it off a bill while under the Debt relief?

      Hey Alon, thanks for the message. So, you are in a debt relief program, but then you actually pay off or settle an account on your own that is in the debt relief program? If that's the case, you could then let the debt relief program know to remove that account for your list, which should save you fees! Hope that helps - Ben

      Agh so sorry about your experience there. The hit to your credit score is inherent to settlement programs that are offered due to the fact that you have to fall behind on payments for them to be able to negotiate on your behalf. Some companies are better than others about communicating the affects of the program.

    I’m currently on a FDR 4-year program. My credit is currently being destroyed. How long will it take to build my credit back up?

    Can I still cancel whit freedom relief?

    • @AscendFinance
      @AscendFinance  ปีที่แล้ว

      You should always be able to cancel! Under the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act) Debt settlement firms aren't allowed to take their fees until they're made a settlement for you! So you should be able to get a refund on your money if there have no been settlements made. If there have been settlements made you can still switch but you could consider keeping those accounts with them

    I almost went with a loan from them. They are charging me 3500 in fees alone then they said court fees could be added to that . Then my debt total debt was 12,500 and I will end up paying 11.000 because of that 3500 fees they added. I’m paying 300 in payments towards my cards now and they said their payment would be 230 month. This is more like a win for them because in the end I will lose 100-200 points in process . I will just hunker down and pay them off since I’m not behind and I have income coming in .

      @mauriciopita1 ปีที่แล้ว

      But they don’t offer loans. So I’m not sure what you mean.

      @@mauriciopita1 - according to her it was debt consolidation loan.

    • @AscendFinance

      Yeah we've seen this happen where companies seem to be trying to triple dip with fees:
      1. Settlement fee
      2. Interest on consolidation loan fee (to "graduate" the program early)
      3. Origination fee for the loan
      There are better companies out there that don't push people into loans mid program - give me a call if you want to chat to one or compare some other options - 833 272 3631
