After all the shoulder tames I finally got a tame shoulder

Only thing that you missed, that I noticed, is that you can put a helmet on them to mitigate the damage lost by no saddle! High armor flak helmets for the win Sir Phlinger. Great vid as always
Yes, any primitive flak helmet is better than most saddles. Their kibble is pretty easy right now, regular kibble can even be made from turtle eggs, which is great.
I Tamed one , i Set him on wander , i unclaimed him , now he is free out on the island with 300000+ Fiber

I noticed when trying to tame one that if the Gigantopithecus crouches near a bush it means that it is eating wild berries and it will not be hungry enough to be fed by you for some time.
I recommend removing all bushes so that it don't eat any wild berries and be hungry quicker especially if you use mejoberries only.

I like to take a Sarco around the Redwood and spot one from the water. Its safe and on land you have something to protect you

For a second while I was looking away and listening to the video, when Phlinger Phoo was smacking on that dino, I thought it was an advertisement with a smooth rythem goin on-
As for tamed mount placement, I usually place them on mineable rocks that are just out of reach for most of the small to medium dinos

I found one almost in the spot just ahead of where he found his in the video, I found a female with red fur, she was around level twenty five, I play on easy so for me it's quite a good level, named her Alice for no reason, none that are known to me anyways.
The best way to find a dino is to not look for it. Just play the game.

One of these guys knocked me into the middle of next week. I mean literally - one minute I was buzzing around it on a Pteri, next minute I was 5 miles up and free falling without a parachute.

I tamed this with mejoberies because I stumbled upon it and it was going towards troodond so I had to agro it and lead it away and list like 30 min

so i ran into my 2nd one of these since i started (1st one got killed on accident). i dont know much about taming and manually followed her around feeding her. it took longer than anything else i got so far. cant wait to see what takes more, i havent got any real dinos yet asides from an argy and berionyx. then on my way back to my main base, ran into my 1st leedsichthys and got away, as terrified as ive been in this game. LoL its a survival, rpg, mmo, sandbox, but i havent heard it called a horror game yet and lemme tell ya!!!

Aw, I fly around for hours trying to find a baryonyx to tame and cane find one, and phlinger gets accidentally thrown right at one! 🤣
First time I tamed one, I just had him throw me over my base wall into the water for like 5 minutes. Now if I'm on one side, I have him throw me into my base I took the roof off of cause why walk?

1x2 wood floor, 5 stone walls, 1 stone ceiling. Place ceiling on end with no wall. Ceiling keeps distance from the bigfoot because he can't fit under it. Just drop him in with a flier.

So I always hear you say the Dino name when you talk about kibble. Do you have to make kibble with that specific Dino egg to be mort effective. I thought there was just different tiers of kibble
Kibble got a rework a while back, used to be specific species eggs make that kibble, but it's a simpler system now. Check the wiki to see what dinos want what kibble, then see what eggs you'll need

Haha I had a Gigantopithicus on my argent and I had to land for Stamina and I dropped it and an alpha raptor started attacking it, I tried to kill the raptor with my Argent and I ended up killing the Gigantopithicus
I was taming one until it turned around to see a very buff man with no pants with mejoberries in their hand looking up at it

Best thing I've found is to transfer it to a dino for safe keeping. They act like a refrigerated backpack and will add duration to the life of any consumables. It's not too much but it definitely helps.
