Can't believe I'm just finding this. My dad is a Vikings fan and I'm a Chiefs fan. I remember this game as a kid. I had taped it on VCR but on "SP" not "EP" so I didn't get all of it. Thank you for posting this
@@erics2739 Yep. It surprised me too, but when you consider both teams were pretty exciting, they only face each other once every 4 years and at Arrowhead once every 8 years, and it was a Sunday night Primetime game, it adds up.
@@text97 Back in '99 there were 3 divisions in each conference so it was every 3 years and they didn't always alternate sites. Vikings in KC in '90 & '99, Chiefs in Minn in '93 & '96. But your point is still valid.

One of the worst Vikings defense ever along with one of the worst starters, Kenny Wright. What a sloppy yet entertaining game. Can tell why both of these teams didnt win as much as they should have in the playoffs.

When I heard the Heavy Action theme, I thought it was MNF then I heard Mike Patrick’s voice and it was ESPN SNF... not surprised given that ABC & ESPN are under the same umbrella. Then in 2006 ESPN took over as the ABC Sports department And that intro featuring Cris Carter.... all he ever did was catch touchdowns
This was a great broadcast team. Today's announcers are garbage. Especially the know nothing dude that rides up down the sidelines on a cart and gets the players, stats and even the teams mixed up.
