Oh my!! Lisa, I've seen many of these snippet rolls being made and embellished...but I don't think I've seen one as beautiful as the first one you show in this video!! I made one earlier this year after watching a few tutorials, but it doesn't have all the fill in lace and fabrics that you've put on yours. I have just discovered your YT Channel today!! Thank you for the inspiration! These are so gorgeous!!! Thank you for sharing!! :)

Denise Hart thank you sooooo much! I’m over the moon that you liked the snippets and hope you get some ideas for your memory snippet. I love the idea of using a snippet roll for memory keeping for a child. There’s load of things you could use for your grandson’s snippet from bedding, to buttons, bibs to clothing, ribbons and pram charms and what about including a label from a special teddy or blanket? You could even include something from mum or dad which was used during the pregnancy or birth. If I had thought of doing one for my son when he was born I’d have cut my wedding dress up and used it for the base! 😱. Let me know how you get on! Thanks for subscribing! I really appreciate it. lynnyvonnestwo Hi Lynn, it’s definitely one of these things that you wish you’d made loads more of when you had all the stuff ready and the sewing machine set up. Back then I had to cut up all the little pieces of lace to use in this project 😱😱 as I never kept scraps back then. I now keep a little zip lock bag of scraps which I use regularly when making cards and tags. Thanks for your lovely comment 💕

Lynn my husband just passed away a year and a half ago I have so many clothes I’d be making a memory ro ol
Go around the state of Maryland tehe 🙃. After 40 years he also planted herbs for me then surprise me when thy bloomed .

Watching the first snippet, oh wow! Oh Lisa, it's gorgeous! Oh the lavender!!!! And the wee bead, oh the fabric from the pram cover. It's so gorgeous (sorry, used the same word again) It's exquisite! 4:53 AM thanks for your lovely comment. I only heard about a snippet roll a few months ago and had to check on you tube to see what it was. I was intrigued. They kind of took off in the journalling world and people are using them to make tags and pockets in their journals but I thought it would be nice to make one for memory keeping.

I recognise a wee clock face from another video😉. The one for your pal is totally beautiful too. How do you find those great antique brooches? I'll need to start going into Hamilton and raiding charity shops! I hardly ever go into town(I hardly ever go out!) I like the undecorated one too. Moira McDonald Moira your comments are so lovely that I'm blushing! There's a wee charity shop nearby called the Ayrshire Hospice and they have a little display of old brooches which are all £1. So I've found some wee treasures in there.they have dearer ones too but I buy the cheap ones. I go in a couple of times a week. Didn't make it in yesterday so I'm raging about that! I've not seen that kind of thing in any other shops. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a wee treasure for you too. Some are a bit rough looking but they are still useful. The little rose one on this project was in perfect nic though xx

There aren't a lot of wealthy folk in this neck of the woods, so you don't get a wealth of classy stuff in the charity shops. I'll need to try and get into Hamilton next week and have a shifty about. There are quite a few charity shops so there must be one with treasures. My usual problem of course is that I really like brooches and have quite a number(the sparkly, the better!) I wear a brooch when I can xxx

Moira McDonald Moira, I live in Kilwinning and it isn't affluent either but I guess I'm lucky that the manager of the shop does this with the brooches. Troon as you know is a well off town but I've not found any treasures there. I like brooches too. I've been wearing some of the ones I bought for my crafting. My favourite is a wee silver one with 2 Scottish thistles and a citrine stone in it. I got it for £2. eBay has treasures too but they are slightly dearer xx
