Thank you to the gentlemen over at Wafts from The Loft, who's Instagram post inspired me to buy this (along with another bottle which is on my way, 1st impressions of that will be on my channel soon :) )
Hi from France! Nice review of this amazing perfume, my favourite actually. The tacky ribbon is reminiscent of the original grey velvet ribbon, which then became a sculpture into the bottle itself. They are trying to revive that heritage, too.
Just bought this in TK Maxx £12.99, couldn't resist. Have been wearing vintage Clinique Aromatics Elixir and Cabochard keeps getting a mention as it's the same parfumier. If you like this give CAE a go...but use sparingly!
Absolutely correct, I read the notes afterwards, and there is aldehydes in the top notes. The white florals came from the Jasmine. Has a deffo Chanel feel. Thanks for stopping by!
Hello, thanks for the video!! Could you compare it to some other famous perfume? even if they are not exactly the same, just to see If I might like this. Thanks again!! 🙏
@@HandsomeSmells Wow, awesome. Both these fragrances are iconic, but as you said they have that "vintage" vibes which I'm not sure to like. Thanks anyway.
Ah sorry I read your original comment wrong. Erm it's a very toned down, smoother and slightly more feminine version of aramis. The DNA is there but it's not as masculine or edgy/rough like aramis. Hope this helps.
Aramis was inspired by Cabochard, both created by the same perfumer. Aramis is a bit more masculine, but BOTH scent profiles are decidedly masculine. Even given Cabochard was marketed to women. Aramis is one of the most masculine scent profiles in history, so that tells you how masculine Cabochard is. Women obviously can and do wear it, but it's the same as a man wearing Bal D'Afrique or something. I think women refer to the wear appropriateness as "boss bitch" types. Kind of like Tom Ford Black Orchid today.
Cabochard is anything but feminine 😂. Its just a bit less masculine than Aramis, one of the most masculine scents in history. I have both Aramis and Cabochard.

I have cabochard and cabochard Cherie. Both are so lovely but cabochard is the best one. It's such a unique smell and I feel so grown up wearing it.
Omg this is one of my favorites ! 😍
I want to get the Cherie flanker…
Thanks for stopping by! And thanks for bringing the Cherie flanker to my attention.
I have Cherie. Not as great as the original. Weaker scent too.
@@lopresti4559 i got Cherie ! I agree that it’s a weaker scent… mor wearble … entrance is really nice…
An absolute gem & hard to beat at the price :)
Thanks for stopping by and yes the price is insane!
@@HandsomeSmells Ah long time watcher first time commenter :) ordered some Immortal oud today, been enjoying your reviews of there oils.

There is asa foetida in it. Do you feel it? For me it's an overwhelming, potent scent and I love that.
Magie Noire by Lancome, and Chypre Charnel by Molinard. Both i think u would like. 👍
Gracias por tu reseña. Me encantó. Acabo de encargarla y efectivamente tiene muy buen precio. Saludos desde Venezuela.

So heavy on the aldehydes if it reminds you of no.5 correct?

Hey it has the smell of some old school scents, not exactly the same, think of a mix between Chanel no.5 and aramis.
@@HandsomeSmells Wow, awesome. Both these fragrances are iconic, but as you said they have that "vintage" vibes which I'm not sure to like. Thanks anyway.
People say this smells like Aramis Aramis. What do you think?
It's just aramis for me lol
@@HandsomeSmells so it does smell like Aramis? That's the only reason I'm interested in this perfume, because I hear it smells like Aramis.
