The thing you missed Ross, is that you can hold the mouse buttons to slow or speed up the ball. The moment you get the hang of that, things get way easier with all the control that gives you.
You can see him doing it a few times in the footage. I'm pretty sure he purposefully "misses" certain things to rant about problems he invented for his own self. He had actually done it with a few other games before.

I thought that art was familiar looking, this was made by Retro Army Limited, they've made a bunch of games in a similar style that all have weird twists on existing genres and all have this slightly odd humor about them. They also made a weird top down shooter set in WWI and are now working on a James Bond inspired FPS which are both kinda neat.

Cause, while I'd be curious to know what it is and sure love when these videos are about a game with enough depth to go 25+ minutes..I feel like between the three videos we got more then I'd expect from 1 Halloween video generally. No room to complain about not getting the promised main event, but not unhappy if we don't either.
I had THREE big ones planned, one I threw out pretty quickly for time, one I started, but may shelve because the theme came surprisingly close to The Movie, so hopefully get 2 big ones next year if nothing screws up.

I think it's one of my favorite intros ever: short, with a distinctive theme that gets me excited about what I'm about to watch, and more importantly, it's not fucking obnoxious (a rare exception on youtube). If you're unhappy with it, by all means change it, but for me it's "the game dungeon intro" and I think I'll still recognize it in 20 years. So from where I stand, changing it would just be unecessary extra work for you. Cheers!
So I picked this up for 50 cents. One big thing that Ross never mentioned: you can hold down the left mouse button for slo mo and apparently it's unlimited? I have no idea why the player wouldn't just hold that down all the time. You can also hold down the right mouse button to super speed it up, and I have no idea why you would ever want to use that.
Well, this was a great Game Dungeon (with an actual dungeon in 16bits) , too bad the end remains unravelled, but maybe there will be a followup episode?Thanks for this episode anyway :D

It's been two years since first watching this video and I think I know what the level end fanfare sounds like. It's similar, albeit faster, to the track in Actraiser when you descend from your Sky Palace to an action level.
This is years late, and probably already answered in the comments but I'm not going to look. The music is probably reminding you of Actraiser 2 on the SNES.

I think this game dungeon made history by being the first one to be released a single day after the previous one. That's something.
