The thing you said in the end about science and faith coexisting, I think people should go even further and not only say coexist but also benefit one from another. A lot of scientific institutions in Europe were founded by the Catholic Church, its not impossible... But in regards to Candace, I think she is as a person very disagreeable amd it shows in the way she presents topics Btw sorry for spamming the comment section 😂
That being said, I will have to admit that she is at least partially right when she says "science is a cult". The thing is exactly as you mentioned, science (like religion btw) works through authority, and authority works through faith (trust), and authorities can always be corrupted because authority is a not a moral category. It is a category of influence. Authority in itself isn't good or bad, it depends on the person behind it. This is why doctors and presidents give an oath in adition to being educated, you have to include a moral element to ensure people don't misuse their power. Listening to authority is therefore not bad, until you reach the point where you can't differentiate the intention of the authority, which isn't easy and tbh I don't think it is even natural for everyone for a variety of reasons. And people who can't differentiate the intention are more likely to just blindly follow anyone, be it a cult leader, a priest or a scientist, it just depends on who came along.
+ I forgot to mention that calling it a cult is a bit over the top for every situation BUT the weird people who argue on the internet about science vs. religion 😂 and that might be just because people who bother to fight on the internet with random other people are a special kind of people
Just as a disclaimer, I'm catholic and grew up and live in Europe and I really don't like Candace 😂 I didn't watch all of her videos so I hope I'm not unfair, but in the ones I watched I had the feeling she doesn't really think things through. I think you're right when you say a lot of these right-left discussions/debates are on a teenager level and the way how social media platforms work doesn't really allow for nuance and thought to exist at the same time as popularity. I think this is also why I am exited about your channel, it's still small enough for you to think about your audience and interact with us. But for Candace and the rest of the internet people that means that mindless explosive reactions are just being encouraged until it becomes almost second nature.
@@dok2085 yeah I agree with all of this. She has some takes that are okay but majority of stuff she says is just to make the other side mad. instead of promoting why her argument is better she just attacks lol

@@dok2085 yeah definitely there’s just some things that science can’t explain. But all good for spamming I like the engagement!
