I can see that Darren has designed on paper umpteen times! No sketchy wobbly outlines. Top bloke. I was looking forward to making lures but some kind person soaked my greenhouse and workshop in petrol at 3am one morning this last spring. By the time we woke to the explosions it was just one massive fireball. Over 40 years of collecting the tools including a lathe and planer (£7,500+++) not including a brand new boundary brick wall and fence gone up in smoke and I only have household contents insured! So at 60 it's a bit late in life to start over again. I'm now trying to get some cash together by making stuff to sell but really difficult without tools or workshop lol. Sorry for moaning. Great to see another accomplished fishing industry personality so generous in sharing his knowledge. Good stuff HM Lures! I hand carve the odd balsa lure with a knife and sand paper, so it's cool to see how it is done on a slightly larger scale.

Jewfish, Kings, Trevs..Those big brutes.
I target mostly flathead. Sometimes I jig for kings but a great insight on lure making 👍
