- Now that the garage is 98% done, we can refocus back into the m3. Lots planned for the car for this season and I can’t wait to show you all the outcome! It’s going to be pretty amazing when it’s done.

“I know I’m not some massive channel”… YET!! 😂 So glad I came across your channel. Your STI and garage build videos have inspired me to make my STI and my garage space my own. It’s a lot of work, but is so therapeutic and rewarding.
Hey man! Really appreciate you making these videos. You are super detailed and full of knowledge on all you do. Keep up the good job, I will be following you in which ever car you build!
+1 for doing the crank hub service. For myself, it would always linger in the back of my mind and sorta poison my driving experience with the car. I am glad I did it. No need to worry about it.
Also, no reason you can't do the crank hub service and install the crank bolt capture plate as well.
Its funny that when i had my wrx i watched you with the sti, now i got a f80 and im watching as well. Awesome content 🙏🏽
Very clean build, and beautiful garage. Excited for the day I can afford to do the same 💪
Good call. I’m so happy I did my crank hub. Peace of mind
Working toward an F8x now man … love this channel
Love the car cover, love the garage with the swisstrax.
Great content! Looking forward to the updates!
Consider doing the Autosolutions Short Shift Kit, Genuinely believe it's the best one on the market. Had it on my E92 M3 and loved it.
Fabulous video my friend.
I finally got a f82 m4 Manual 👌 went from a VA STi to FK8 Type R to the m4 🤣👌 m4 ftw wayy better than those other 2 lol also Blackline makes that intercooler cover in black. So glad you went with ARM downpipes! I was searching for resonated catless down pipes and only found 2 for under $500 ARM and MAD. So i bought all the products ARM stuff 👌
Do you prefer the shifter on the fk8 or the M4?
@@Mauiiwaui so the shifting (clutch and shifter) hands down fk8... now idk if mine is just worn or what but my clutch pedal is very touchy and shifter is ehhh, ima get the ecs shifter rebuild kit soon so hopefully that helps 😅
Please make a video on why you are not going with the CSF charge cooler. Would be really interested as I am in the market for a charge cooler now.
Not sure if I’ll do a whole video, but basically they don’t provide any benefit other than a more robust cooler. Loss of power, leaking issues, etc. granted this is just the feedback I got, it’s enough for me to know I’ll be going a different route.
@@Scoobyfreak86 Thanks for the input! love the content, helps me make decisions on my car!
cbc really doesn't do anything. Have seen countless n54's with the vtt CBC installed spin the hub. Its NOT the bolt that loosens that causes the problem, its the friction disc that slips.
Maintenance, and quality of parts is important, but not with regards to spinning crank hub. Quality of tune does though. 3 Main Factors seem to be: 1. Driver behavior (beat on it vs. baby it, money shift, kickdowns) 2. Increased power increases likelihood (increased torque) 3. Random, bad luck (S55 assembled on a Friday, bad luck with friction disk, etc.). I'm getting a 4-pin hub installed right now actually so I can feel safe going Stage 2+. Just found the channel though, sub'd!
Tune was grouped together of what I meant in regard to quality parts/brands/mods.
Awesome and good choice! Thanks for the support.
So, why aren't the garage door window frames painted black to match the entire look? That beige color throws things off. =]
Don’t remind me haha. On my list to address.
@@Scoobyfreak86 Or you could stain the garage door window frames the exact same color as the one-piece work table top that you plan to install for some contrast. Just a thought...
When are we getting T-Shirts?
Been looking into some merch ideas. More to come!
@@Scoobyfreak86 Cant wait to see what you come with for the T-Shirts!
Once i start making nursing money i want to finally get an f80 I love my 335i but it’s definitely dated and showing a lot of age plus I want an M car
single turbski when sir
😈
Don’t do boot mod do mhd stage two plus boot mod is slow I gap them in my m4 with mhd and xhp and I don’t have crank hub done I hear people have the most issues after they go E
Where is your Car cover from?

Alot of people spin the crank on stage 2 cars. Mostly happens on dct models with the kickdown downshift, but I’ve seen it happen on both.
Doing the crank hub for piece of mind is worth it even on stock car imo.
I do a couple of things that might help:
1. I always drive on manual, never on D. Just a habit, but it ensures kickdown never happens.
2. I keep the shift-agression level (or whatever it's called) on 2 bars, never on 3 bars.
pretty sure crank hub stuff also comes down to how the car is being driven as well. a few good friends in Germany have never even heard of the issue and have bigger turbos, downpipe, etc and track the cars weekly without issue. its weird that we see minor issues with a car and then all of us hyper fixate on them. totally understandable if engines are blowing up and not being warrantied and its a manufacturer problem "cough subaru RTV oil pick up cough cough" but seeing people spin hubs from miss shifting at high RPMS and then being angry it happened is wild....... you miss shift any car at high rpms and speeds its gonna brake something. anyways, good shit I'm in an M4 myself and its been worry free so far
It truly comes down to so many different variables that I do agree it’s not as big of an issue as everyone makes it out to be. But! I do think it should be done when adding power mods and expecting the car to perform as intended. I have a few German buddies who say it’s not an issue. But, at the end of the day, I’ll sleep more soundly knowing I did it.
Mine was stock and it caused me issue
@adanyalmonte4112 out of curiosity, did you buy the car brand new? Or second hand?
@@Scoobyfreak86 second hand with 20k miles
Dct or manual?
