I couldn't believe my ears when I heard you say Tildesley when you found the bicycle handle bars. My father was born there in 1916 and came to Canada when he was about 7 or 8 yrs old. He went back to England to serve in the second world war. He died back in 1990 but left me with a love for England and some day I would love to visit. Thanks for showing me a little piece of his hometown. I recently found this channel and love it...a new subscriber here ...cheers from Ontario, Canada

Hi, I'm from Canada too!! Born in Montreal left when I was 12 1/2 to move to Calgary live there for 12 1/2 and now I'm outside of Vancouver BC and we've been here since 1987 so that makes it 37 years ago. my dad was born in Glasgow and was on the ships with the navy and his family moved to Montreal in 1949. He married my mum and 53 and she was born in Montreal but her family was from Edinburgh. And ever since my dad's death in 2012 the urge to go over and visit the UK is so strong. I know I probably will never get there, but I take as much as I can of it, such as finding these wonderful people that put out videos for us to watch like these ones.
I hope one day you will see it and have one heck of a good time!!☺️

So tomorrow (Mon, May 31) is Memorial Day here in the US -- very much like your Remembrance Day in the UK -- and it stirred my heart to see the WWII British planes in the fly-by -- there is so much that we owe to the brave men and women who have served our countries all these years, and things like our yearly holidays, and like these fly-bys -- are great reminders! Cheers!!!

Loved the tooth but loved the spitfire and hurricane better! Before covid we would have an airshow here at our local airport and they would fly in a Lancaster Bomber from Hamilton, our home was on the direct flight path. You could hear this thing miles away b4 seeing it. I cannot imagine the sight and sound of those going on a mission from England to Europe in the war. I get goosebumps when I hear that bird flying over the house! Just the history. The house would vibrate as it passed by. They would fly it quite low to the houses getting ready to land not too far beyond the houses!

What great finds!! Love the mammoth tooth, unbelievable that you'd find one on the shores of the River Thames, cool!! When I was watching a video of magnet fishing, they filmed over there looking for fossils at Lyme Regis Fossil Beach so it doesn't surprise me that you'd find a mammoth tooth. I think it's so incredibly cool!! When we were kids waiting for school bus, I would always pick up a handful of rocks because on the rocks was the fossil of shells, and I absolutely loved finding them. And then we moved away from that area and I really wish I would've taken some of those rocks with me. Oh well.🤷‍♀️
Thanks for a great video Si!!☺️

I think those spitfires went past my house last Sunday. I saw them from my kitchen window here in West Sussex. I tracked them on flight tracker app they went along the coast to Brighton then towards London. 🛩️🛩️🛩️

Good finds today, but those planes were awesome. I had the good fortune to see a few of those here in the states at a fly in airshow. I remember one of them had RAF markings.

Congrats on your oldest find, Simon....lovely baby tooth. Was great to see Jules with you out on the foreshore...love his wit. You looked like you were both having a grand time. You both got some interesting finds. Looking forward to the next edition.

I wonder did Mammoths have Tooth Fairies? 'Cause that would have cost the poor wee thing a fortune ! Glad you found it under it's pillow of mud. Cheers and thanks for a wonderful Sunday mudventure x

Wow how amazing finding the mammoth tooth, if you hadn't seen your mate find one in the past you may not have thought much of it and left it behind
