Türkiye is also a great place..Cost is around $8k to $10k, and you can enjoy a nice Mediterranean holiday while there. My brother got his done, upper and lower, in all zirconia and he loves them. I'm living in Türkiye now myself and the dental facilities are world class, better than the best the EU country I come from has and where it is literally 5 times more expensive using older technology.

@@adamnugent2137 Same all over Europe Adam, it's really far too expensive for most people. I noticed that some people are only getting the old fashioned plastic dentures for $10k. They don't even do those things in the top class clinics here. They're incredibly high tech, and you are made feel very comfortable. They offer lifetime warranty on the implants and up to 10 years on the prosthetic. Imagine, even if you need something later, a quick trip to Türkiye will still be multiple times cheaper than the US or Europe. I do understand that it can be a bit scary to go so far from home and it's important to find the best ones (like anywhere), never go to a small dental office for example, only the big ones and check the reputation online. A lot of Europeans come as do some Americans, and if someone is in desperate need, can't afford $60k but can manage $8-12k, including a couple of return visits, I do recommend it. I don't know much about Albania to be honest but Türkiye definitely has the best reputation in this part of the world. They are highly trained and highly experienced and a whole team looks after you who specialize in the different aspects of the treatment. Btw , those prices are for both top and bottom, if someone only needs one side done, it's half that price. However, many people who have problems on one side usually have issues with the other, so it's probably better to get both. The implants they use are either Bego, a long established German brand or the more famous Straumann from Switzerland.

Dental issues anger me so much and should be covered by health insurance. We are told over and over that over health, our arteries, our heart, depends upon good oral health UNTIL its time to pay. Then all ot a sudden it is cosmetic. Ridiculous!!

3 on 6 is a new concept for me. I've been researching all on 4 for about 1 1/2 years now, and it will take me a few more years to save the $60 to $70k. This video is misleading in indicating that all-on-4 systems are all acrylic over titanium bridges, when most providers utilize zirconia which is much less bulky and much more durable. The video is correct that the all-o-4s need to be removed and cleaned every year, and I don't see how a 3 on 6 would be different - unless it is simply 3 separate bridges. I have had many bridges fail in the past, and cannot see how these bridges could be made permanent, non-cleanable, and not likely to fail. It sounded so good initially, but I just cannot believe that these wouldn't fail, like all my prior dental work.
Well first off, the 3 on 6 will run you about $40k for your full upper and lower, so you should look into it if nothing else for that. I didn’t see anywhere in the video where it said they are all-acrylic. But ask any provider and the All-on-4 has to be bulky to maintain its strength. That’s also why they remove bone from your mouth, so they can make it fit. The 3 on 6 has been around since 2012 and the very first one placed is still strong and healthy without removing for annual cleanings. Because it is less bulky than an All-on-4, they don’t develop food traps which create bacteria. Brushing, flossing, and water flossing are all that is recommended, along with semi-annual dental cleanings. Give them a call, you might just find that your understanding of what is possible is changed. Dentistry has changed a lot in the nearly 40 years since the All-on-4 came out. This treatment is healthier and more affordable.
There is no right answer for every person, but most people prefer the 3 on 6™ because it is more affordable, permanent, doesn't need to be removed, and doesn't require bone removal.

Yes you have to take it out to be cleaned and some places do it 2 times a year not one. You just have to make sure you're doing your part and cleaning with a water pick and you'll be perfectly fine.

In addition, removing the bone from the mouth means that if anything goes wrong, you're all out of options. It's like throwing away all of your matches and then striking your last match. Why not keep the healthy bone in your mouth like with the 3 on 6? Plus, have you seen how expensive those cleanings are when they remove your All on 4? They usually have to replace abutments. So now your standard dental cleanings can cost up to $1,000 each time. It only takes a few cleanings to realize you're going to be paying a lot more for the All on 4 over the 3 on 6.

They use cheaper implants that are more prone to failure and cheaper restorative materials to bring their costs down. In the U.S., many of those materials aren't used in the U.S. because our consumer protection laws won't allow it. Also, you think people in Turkey don't want to make a profit? Their markup on the work is the exact same as it is in the United States.

Don't you still have to have the 3on6 removed by the dentist to clean it and the gums onces a year maybe more.Even though they are tissue fitted food still gets trapped underneath and can't be cleaned out normally.
No. There is no bone removal and no fake tissue, meaning the restoration is thinner and easier to clean. Any food that may get trapped can easily be cleaned with standard at home brushing, flossing, and water flossing. We still recommend semi-annual hygiene visits and in the rare case there ever was an issue, bridges could be removed.
Hi Vanessa - great question! One of the reasons patients use temporary bridges for 3-4 months until they get their final zirconia bridges is to make sure the tissue has time to heal to where it will be. At that point we make the bridges to fit perfectly to the tissue in your mouth and usually have enough overlap that even with some minor gum recession you would be fine. One advantage of the 3 on 6 as opposed to the All-on-4 or other options is that in the rare case of severe gum recession, a single bridge can be replaced at a much lower cost and hassle instead of replacing the entire prosthesis in the mouth like an All-on-4.

You mention that all on 4 have plastic teeth and gums. That's not strictly true though, is it? There are full zirconia options available too. My brother came from Ireland to Turkey to have upper and lower, he actually got the 6 implants in each jaw, his bone was good and even across his jaw so got it without needing fake gum. An accident broke most of his front teeth but his back teeth weren't great. I suppose that's why he still had good bone. Cost him about $12k including flights and 5 star hotel over 3 visits. 3 years now and they're perfect. All on 4 comes in many forms (not always on just 4 implants, 5, or even 6 can be used ) , teeth placed in a day or over a period of time. You just picked the very worst version to show people. That's not very balanced or honest.

With the 3 on 6 you can eat virtually all the same things you can with your natural teeth (apples, steak, salad, corn on the cob). They feel and function like normal teeth.

I totally agree. I’ll only add that the 3 on 6 is actually not the most expensive way. Many All on 4 treatment plans come on close to $80k and the 3 on 6 is about half of that.

Could you specify what portions of the video you disagree with? These are actually widely agreed upon problems with All-on-X style restorations (bone removal at the time of surgery, bulky prosthetics that trap food, continued bone loss over time, expensive cleanings and parts replacement, etc).

You could go to albania for 8k euros my dad did full mouth costed him 8.5k euro and its really good!!

They use cheaper implants that are more prone to failure and cheaper restorative materials to bring their costs down. In the U.S., many of those materials aren't used in the U.S. because our consumer protection laws won't allow it. Also, you think people in Turkey don't want to make a profit? Their markup on the work is the exact same as it is in the United States.
Please explain how the 3 on 6 can provide lip support for a patient with upper front jaw gum recession as the 3 on 6 does not contain fake gum to provide this support?

No. There is no bone removal and no fake tissue, meaning the restoration is thinner and easier to clean. Any food that may get trapped can easily be cleaned with standard at home brushing, flossing, and water flossing. We still recommend semi-annual hygiene visits and in the rare case there ever was an issue, bridges could be removed.
What happens if gums recede?
Hi Vanessa - great question! One of the reasons patients use temporary bridges for 3-4 months until they get their final zirconia bridges is to make sure the tissue has time to heal to where it will be. At that point we make the bridges to fit perfectly to the tissue in your mouth and usually have enough overlap that even with some minor gum recession you would be fine. One advantage of the 3 on 6 as opposed to the All-on-4 or other options is that in the rare case of severe gum recession, a single bridge can be replaced at a much lower cost and hassle instead of replacing the entire prosthesis in the mouth like an All-on-4.

You mention that all on 4 have plastic teeth and gums. That's not strictly true though, is it? There are full zirconia options available too. My brother came from Ireland to Turkey to have upper and lower, he actually got the 6 implants in each jaw, his bone was good and even across his jaw so got it without needing fake gum. An accident broke most of his front teeth but his back teeth weren't great. I suppose that's why he still had good bone. Cost him about $12k including flights and 5 star hotel over 3 visits. 3 years now and they're perfect. All on 4 comes in many forms (not always on just 4 implants, 5, or even 6 can be used ) , teeth placed in a day or over a period of time. You just picked the very worst version to show people. That's not very balanced or honest.

@@jamesoneal5311 for patients with sufficient bone, we developed the 4 on 8™ which provides an additional two implants and two teeth per arch. Most providers would not want to add extra molars to a 3 on 6 because that would require extending the span of the bridges OR doing a cantilever, both of which could increase the risk of a fracture. I totally agree. I’ll only add that the 3 on 6 is actually not the most expensive way. Many All on 4 treatment plans come on close to $80k and the 3 on 6 is about half of that.
The 3 on 6™ is generally more affordable simply because we've chosen to price it more affordably. The 3 on 6™ actually takes more time and skill to place because you custom design the teeth to fit the patients mouth and gums. The All-on-4 on the other hand shortcuts the process by cutting out the patient's bone to make a flat surface for a bulky restoration with fake gingiva. In most cases the All-on-4 is not the best solution and over priced.

That's fine for some people, but if you don't want food getting trapped under your denture, if you don't want time consuming and frustrating daily maintenance, and if you want to protect your bone from further deterioration with more implants, then the 3 on 6 is the best solution.
This is proof you can say whatever you want on the internet with absolutely no truth to it. I am a prosthodontist and his complaining about all on 4 is not true.
Could you specify what portions of the video you disagree with? These are actually widely agreed upon problems with All-on-X style restorations (bone removal at the time of surgery, bulky prosthetics that trap food, continued bone loss over time, expensive cleanings and parts replacement, etc).

He is not "saying lies". He gave a catchy name instead of calling it "3 dental bridges on 6 implants". But what he says is true and not misleading at all. I got 2 bridges on 2 implants (done by other dentist here in Italy) and it works as he said.
