    I currently run a 1999 pre-leader engined ET4 like yours, great bike though I have had a few issues with it but easily fixed due to its simple layout. Spares can be a bit tricky to find for the engine but the same lump was used in the Sfera and liberty and most things can be found on ebay

    Robot, thanks for sharing all these great vids. i'm looking at acquiring the same type of Vespa as this one posed in the video (same year, make and model). if and when I return it to the states, will I be able to use it like you do? just wondering if there are any restrictions to using a euro scooter in the USA.

    you have issues with the ignition.Actually the et125 pre-leader starts quite smoothly.bear in mind you can set the automatic choke by rotating it a little.

    I had a 97 ET4 over here in the UK until recently. It had to go because I just couldn't get any parts for it. Needed a float for the carb and even the importers here said it was impossible to get. Mine had tubes as well, something happens to the wheels overtime and the tubeless tyres don't seal is what I was told. That bloody Clock battery is a pain! You have to pull the front apart to change it. Best improvement on the new GTS is that the clock runs off the main battery now! Lovely bike though, only a 125 but it had a very quick pull away, would sometimes wheelie!

      David Keppler Hi, I'm in the U.K. Too, have a ET2 50 2stroke, had the same issues with my 12mm Weber carb, had to replace with a Dellorto 17.5mm due to no parts availability on the Weber. Great little scoots though, very well made compared to Chinese stuff.

    I was just given an interesting 2004 ET4 that came with a chrome horn cover, broken chrome rear left and right side fairings and the twin headlight you have on your Euro market Vespa. Is this some kind of special edition? The original color seems to be pearl or cream although it's been painted over with flat black at some point.

    Dear Robot. Is there any difference between this model with the old motor and the leader one concerning the oil change? Best regards from berlin. I follow and like your videos. PS, I drive every day this old model of the et4 ☺️🎶

    I'm looking at a 2002 ET4. About 5k miles, what should I be looking for when I go view it?

    • @lucidhurricane
      @lucidhurricane 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      if it has the original belt you will want to change that, and 11g rollers get better gas mileage. check for fuel leaks around the petcock and lines.

    Hi there!! Could someone tell me how much ml does et4 125 pre leader vespa need in the rear hub?? Thanks a lot
    Enjoy your ride!!

    • @ChannelZico
      @ChannelZico 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it is 150 ml, which is about 5 Oz. This is what I put there and I think it has top and bottom screw on the side of the hub. If you unscrew the top one you should fill it up to the screw but anyway 150 ml I guess.
