Brings me back memories looking back, I still have this on PS2 since I was 12 years old and have been on in an incredible winning streak roll.

Since they wanted Jin to win the fifth tournament, this should have been the canon ending. And it was already implied in Tekken 6 that Jin transferred into a devil after losing to Hwoarang. I'd like to imagine this ending happening AND shortly after Wang's ending happening too... Devil Jin absorbs Jinpachi's powers and Wang Jinrei arrives to find a dying Jinpachi.
Me too, when i first saw him as sub-boss said wtf !!! The best version of it is in this tekken 5, the scenery of the cathedral where he fights is sinister and very demonic and scary.

When I was like 3 or 4 watching family play this for the first time, I thought Devil Jin was the final boss, since they could never get past him, let alone unlock him. Then Jinpachi came along and blasted that notion out the window (with an unblockable fireball from his goddamn stomach mouth)
