something that differences Jin of Kazuya: -Kazuya forced his alter ego to fuse with him in Tekken 4. -Jin actually had an agreement with his alter ego to fuse with. i love this contrast.
It does fit the Devil Gene being fueled by the user's desire. Kazuya desired to dominate all, so his devil alter ego was consumed. Jin desired to protect all he cares about, so his devil alter ego agreed to cooperate with him
Also Jin hated and saw himself as a monster, it's low key implied here that he really was a monster in the making since the DG pretty much removes all filters unless the carrier mastered it. Ultimately it doesn't matter how the user master their DG as long as their mindset matches their desires and they are honest about it. On a side note, Kazumi was erratic during her lifetime and it's implied that it's because she was conflicted about her mission as the Devil within is their true self made manifest but she was either in denial or hesitant in wanting to kill Heihachi until she snapped. Jin was also in danger of going full crazy Devil as he too was conflicted about his true nature.
God, I love the twist when we find out that Devil Jin was never really a bad guy. Come to think of it, he only emerged when Jin's life was in danger, story wise. It's not a retcon like how they handled Heihachi in Tekken 7, it makes complete sense.
To be precise, DVJ represents Jin's base inner desires. When Jin gave in to rage, self-hatred and despair prior to T8 DVJ acted accordingly and was a blood thirsty psychopath. Tekken 8 is basically the result of his uncles Lars and Lee giving Jin some long overdue therapy to come to terms with his issues. Heck this whole sequence is basically DVJ psychoanalyzing Jin and breaking through his denials and justifications to get to the core of what actually drives him. Which leads to the revelation of what ultimately differentiates Jin from Kazuya: Kazuya is selfish whereas Jin is selfless. Kazuya is driven by a desire to dominate whereas Jin is driven by a desire to protect.
Yeah. Devil Jin was never evil. Devil Jin always seemed like an inner uncontrollable beast that Jin never really had a sit down with till 8. The only times we see Devil Jin in story, was really him going wild in a rage. Like when Heihachi killed Jin, or after the events of Tekken 4, where he pretty much just rage destroyed an entire forest. The only time Devil Jin was showcased as 'Evil' was in his now 'what if story' in Tekken 5, if the 'evil and rage' built up inside of him, and finally consumed him. Which felt like a story, if Jin followed in his father's footsteps in a way. Which logically in that timelime, he would've killed Kazuya and Heihachi, as vision of Jun wouldn't have been there. But canonically, Devil Jin was never evil.
What about the moments where HE wasn't and was putting OTHERS in danger? How do you explain those encounters, for example: His interaction with hwoarang in Tekken 5.
@detectivehan5717 the same thing...which is Jin gave in to the rage, self hatred and despair. Tekken 5 in particular he had a hard time keeping the devil within him in.
Did you notice how the theme songs of the old tekken games play but a little distorted, since it is the past inside a portal. Goosebumps. Gives really nostalgic vibes.
The fact the three musical themes from Tekken 5, Tekken 6, and Tekken 5 DR that are in a way related to Jin and Devil Jin are here shows how Tekken 8's story is also good at paying homage to previous games. This is soooo perfect!!!
Something to notice about Devil Jin's eyes is that they indicate his state of mind. Red: Jin can go back to his normal self Pale Gold: Jin can no longer go back to being himself again. Bright Gold: He has mastered his devil gene and no longer has to worry about losing his mind. We see Devil Jin have red eyes in T3 and now in T8 but from T5 to T7 he has pale gold eyes since he is still a "what if" character, at least in terms of personality.

3:33 now Devil Jin's the one who turns on rage mode at the beginning of this fight. When I was a kid, I was always enraged by Jin when he turns on rage back in Tekken 6 😂
Finally off the copycat kazuya arc and back on his own path.
The Kazuya copycat arc is harada's idea.
Fook that guy
the kazuya copycat arc was harada's idea.
Fvck that guy
Devil Jin literally asked Jin what's so different between him and Kazuya.
@@klockenberg2299 And he proved what lol.
@@JeanKP14 he proved that Jin could change and makes himself entirely different than His Father
His Father fights for dominate especially with his Devil gene while Jin fights to protect with his Devil gene
3:28 maaaaan when Jin’s tekken 6 boss theme started playing I get hella excited to hear that theme again
Nah bruh, this Chapter is just a hidden mockery of all the 12-23 year olds using TikTok and them considering about entering a "Villain Arc" LMAO
Still sick though, Devil Jin based as always
They just don't have a superweapon company and full army like Jin to actually act on their desires.
Lol inner Demons almost ALWAYS end up as good guys i dunno what they were expecting
I keep listening to DVJ voice like it's a mukbang 😻
It's jin vs his ego... basically
I realized that this is the first time that Jin meets his devil persona. Everytime before that was just a blackout XD
The voice actors of Devil Jin's are real OG'S
I like how they touched up Devil Jin's pants, and it looks better than ever.
0:37 Past Devil Jin
2:53 Original Devil Jin
4:51 Purified Devil Jin
I think it makes more sense for the first Devil Jin to be called "Current Devil Jin".
@@sonicbattleplayer5762Well, Purified Devil Jin has ended up becoming the "current" one.
Does anyone notice Jun's Kazama walking at the right side of stone hand? 6:05
I don't know about you guys but they both look freaking awesome ❤
4:02 - 4:25 The music and the fight were in perfect synch in my opinion. Jin was in the corner and we have the back and forth between them as the music gets more intense.
THANK YOU FOR MUSIC FROM TEKKEN 5
when the camera turned to have Devil Jin on player 1 i got chills
During the final battle Jun can be seen in the background walking towards devil Jin.
1:29 my favorite song in tekken 5
Kaz in his mind ooooooo when im finished with jin u next Xiao
Man what is the theme playing in thr background when devil jin merges with jin it feels so calming......
Tekken 8 made me go from disliking Jin to genuinely being proud of him
You've come a long way, young Kazama. Good lad
This boss fight takes place in an environment that is reminiscient to Vergil's battle with Hollow Vergil in Vergil's Downfall ,which is also a battle against the character's darkside to acquire more power.
There taking from tekken 2 which was mainly about the internal struggle inside kazuya for his soul....
You can see Jun at the background on 7:04
One of Fallen Angel from Higher Dimension!!! 🔥😈🔥
😒😑😑😑😑...
I'd be lying if I said I didnt pop off when that Tekken 5DR Snow Castle tune dropped
0:35 There must be a mod to swap Jin with Kiryu and DJ with Majima. That laugh would make it so fitting hahaha
This shows that we all have a light and dark side we just need to embrace them. Light and Dark can be used in a right and wrong way.
One of the best parts of story mode
The Devil Jin we always knew had chains, these chains play an important part in the last fight because his body embodies them to break them and be free, the switch to the Devil Jin is the form to us (the player) to liberate Jin to break them
Damn, I bet Devil Jin and Sukuna will be the best inner beast within their soulmate
In Metal Gear a Snake (Liguid) will desyroyed the world while another Snake (Solid) will save it in Tekken 8 Kazuya Mishima/Devil Kazuya has the role of Liguid Snake while Jin Kazama/Devil Jin has the role of Solid Snake
Snow castle theme from Tekken Dark Resurrection ❤ 5:53
I forgot how badass that T6 Jin boss fight was 😂
Does someone know the name of the track that starts at 3:28 please.
Tekken 6 gargoyle's perch
@@delinquentlord581 i love you man, thank you so much
Can someone give where to find that @7:41 to @8:42 bgm? Thanks
Kazuya still acted like a good father by letting Jin and Xiaoyu have a moment instead of killing them while they were disctracted.
6:53
When did this become a Persona game?
